MIguel Melgar's Online Review Report Card

I have had alot of dr's appointments in my life and never felt so unheard and dismissed by a Dr in my life!!! I had a notepad of questions and concerns that I wanted to discuss, he stood up and started walking out the door THREE times!!! Not once, not twice, but three times he was walking out the door while im trying to read through my notes. Never discussed the symptoms I was having, never discussed how quickly my "stable" cyst had grown. I have had a few dr's that I felt had very poor bedside manner, but never have I been angry enough to write a review to warn others, that was until I had my appointment with Dr. Melgar.

First and foremost I want to thank Dr Melgar for being nothing short of my guardian angel for this procedure. I had a pituitary tumor that was causing some significant health issues, Dr Melgar performed the surgery and removed the tumor flawlessly here it is 2 years later still no tumor and able to live my life. The ICU staff at gulfport memorial was amazing also so a big thank you to all that helped me get through the scariest time of my life. I would recommend Dr Melgar to anyone that needs a great surgeon and truly cares about his patients.

First I want to thank my creator who is God... I want to thank Dr.Melgar and his staff....I suffered a serious back injury in a bad wreck...I shattered my L1 Lumbar....all I could think about is hoping that I wouldn't be paralyzed from the waist down....But With My God grace and mercy as he worked through Dr.Melgar he did spine surgery on me 3 months after the surgery I'm starting to get some of my steps back.......As time goes on I hope to someday get my strength back....So Thank you God and Thank you Dr.Melgar and Nurse Dunn and the staff...T.Lee 🙏🙏

Dr Melgar did surgery on me February of this year (2023) and Im thankful that he took care of me.Not only did he take care of me from beginning to end.....he also made calls for me that was above and beyond his duties to get me scheduled for my surgery. Hopefully I wont need another surgery but if I do Im thankful that DR Miguel Melgar is my doc!!!

My husband got to where he couldn't hardly walk , 2016 Dr Melgar and his team prayed before surgery and after 2 months of physical therapy my husband is able to walk .. Dr Melgar uses my husband testimony all over the world .. and call him his miracle man .. Thank You Dr Melgar for getting my husband back on his feet .

VA referral patient-came in saw my MRI and said I can do a fusion on you if you want me to. Did not exam me, did not want to hear anything from me; only lets do surgery. Another surgeon a few months back did not talk or say anything like this doctor which is wanting to go immediately in a do a big surgery.

Dr. Miguel Melger is a great caring doctor he did my back surgery at Tulane hospital in New Orleans in 2011. After my surgery the nurses came in the room and help me get out of bed an I was able to walk. then he had set up physical therapy to come to house. After that I went to physical therapy at Touro Hospital I return to work three months after my surgery . He is the best. Thanks Dr Miguel for changing my life. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😍

Most rudest doctor I have ever been to. Tried talking with him and he will basically say "shut up, I'm talking to you". No bed side manner at all. Didn't want to help my wife in her time of need. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. A quack.

Very clean facilities. Very courteous, kind and professional staff. Dr. Melgar and NP Dunn make a wonderful team. They saved my dad's life and for that, me and my family are very grateful.

This is more about my daddy than me. My dad was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer at the end of 2019, and Dr. Melgar was very thorough in the surgeries that my dad needed. A very caring person, indeed. When it felt like my dad wasn't going to make it much longer, he knew what was going on and was able to help. My dad passed away in 2020, but I am grateful for Dr. Melgar for the months that my daddy got to live.
