List of Richa Gupta's Reviews
Dr Gupta is amazing, I have several autoimmune issues and she explains everything to me in a way that I can understand it... I recommend her to everyone.
Always answers my questions even if I don’t like answers. Her time is valuable and I know this as retired nurse so I don’t “chit chat”. We discuss meds and treatments.
Such a caring and intelligent physician.
Very professional. Very thorough with your the exam of your appointment. Explains in detail on your choice of treatment. Orders follow up and labs to check on progress.
I was diagnosed with RA by the VA and was being treated for it. I moved to Mississippi and they do not have rheumatology at that VA so I was outsourced to Dr. Gupta. She didn’t believe that I have RA and refused to treat me and I was discharged. Prior to seeing her I asked the nurse what was going on because I had been waiting a hour past my appointment time. Dr. Gupta entered the room and told me if I had somewhere to go I should have cancelled my appointment. She was very rude. I already have a hard time getting medical treatment at the VA being a female. I didn’t realize that community care was going to be like this.
I have had several Rheumatologist and Dr. Gupta rises above the rest.
I had a very professional visit. I found her very intellectual and easy to communicate with. I’ve got C.R.E.S.T. Very complex immune disorder. I’m going back for my second visit. At this point I have nothing but respect for her. Linda Simmons
I have been seeing Dr. Gupta for several years. I have been diagnosed with lupus. I was advised by a doctor friend that I should go to Emory for treatment because doctors on the coast just don’t see enough lupus to treat it as well as places that specialize. So I did. In short, the specialist at Emery were very impressed with Dr. Cooper does treatment. She had actually diagnosed a couple of aspects of my condition that are very unusual and they were curious as to how in the world she had figured out that this particular conditions….i told them That I had come in order to seek a second opinion and make sure that I was receiving the treatment that I needed. They assured me that I was receiving top notch medical care from Dr. Gupta. In addition, I have always found Dr. Gupta and her nurse practitioner to be very accommodating. I do feel that she is very direct, but I have never taken this as rude. She tends to business and moves on. They are always very professional and responsive.
Dr. Gupta incorrectly diagnosed me with psoriatic arthritis. Over the course of a year, she prescribed 3 different immunosuppressants that are dangerous drugs, but wonderful for someone with autoimmune arthritis. I got a second opinion when the 3rd medication she prescribed didn’t work. Dr. Gupta never ordered a contrast MRI. If she had, it would have clearly shown what my rheumatologist at Ochsners discovered has been the source of pain all along. I would not recommend Dr. Gupta to anyone.
I have not seen this doctor yet. I just scheduled an appointment of which I will cancel with these bad reviews. Why no goods?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
