Drops patients under his care if that patient's General Practitioner (another Dr. in this case; a female that recommended him actually) requests a 2nd opinion (and file share/transfer)!? The Gen. Prac. and their entire office are in shock; and I am going to personally see the word about this so called "doctor" spreads like a CA wildfire! "Hello. Is this the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure? Yes, I WOULD like to file a grievance; and respectfully request a formal inquiry into this questionable at best practice." Then, the people need to know! "Hi, is this the Publisher for the Gazebo Gazette/Sea Coast Echo/Sun Herald/Stone Co. Enterprise/Biloxi-D'Iberville Press ... this is the Assoc. I'd give 0 stars if I could. He was so negligent with my care that I ended up needing an emergency liver transplant, which also entailed being air lifted to Mobile, AL then flown to Atlanta, GA for the actual transplant. I saw him in his office on a Monday (he said I was fine), by Wednesday I was in the emergency room and by Saturday I was having an emergency liver transplant. Save yourself and your loved ones and avoid him at all costs. I almost died at the age of 14 because of this man.

I would not go back to him if he were the last doctor on earth. Even after seeing him several times while in the hospital and going to his office three times, each time he saw me he said,” Nice to meet you” in that perfunctory way that people do. Once he asked me if anyone had ever told me I was pre-diabetic. He was looking directly at my chart which showed I was a type II diabetic on metformin. He wasn’t interested in me, I guess because I didn’t have an interesting problem; I found another gastroenterologist.

Love Dr Gioe he is my third Gastroenterologist I had and found all the problem I had to late due to others thanks that he was not just a stomach doctor he looks a liver too

I have been a patient of Dr. Gioe for 19 years and I wouldn't go to anyone else on the Coast. He has helped me so.much and his staff is so.professional.

Dr. Scott Gioe performed a colonoscopy on me that was a wellness benefit completely covered by my insurance company. When I made the appointment I asked again to confirm that it was 100% covered and the clinic assured me that there would be no cost to me. A few weeks later I received a bill from the clinic for $75. When I called to determine what the bill was for I was told that it was for a "bedside visit" after my colonoscopy to give me the results. I was not even awake when he came by and he only told my friend that everything was fine and I needed more fiber. It took about 30 seconds to say this and leave. I contacted my insurance company and was told this was not a customary charge. I have left numerous messages for the clinic administrator to dispute this charge and she has yet to respond. They are now sending a notice threatening to turn me over to a collection agency. This clinic only cares about your money and is engaging in deceptive practices. Beware!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gioe for at least 7 yrs. and have gotten only the best of care, would recommend him and his staff to my friends and family.

Best doctor ever! Dr. Gioe was the on call doctor years ago when I was rushed to the emergency room and had to have immediate surgery. 22 years later and he is still my doctor! Bedside manner is amazing, he genuinely cares for his patients, and he is always in the best mood. His staff is equally amazing.
