List of Stephen James's Reviews
Dr James understands those for whom he’s treating. He doesn’t sugar coat anything. Nor does he pamper you. He’s straight forward and to the point. He’s extremely intelligent. And he handles me well. When I get out in the weeds so to speak, he puts me back on course quickly. He makes me feel like he understands me , I have a way of not properly explaining things, If you will, He is capable of putting all the pieces of the puzzle together when I’m speaking. For a lack of better words , he understands the language of someone with ADHD. Which makes his communication 10 out of 10
This fine man gave me the ability to have a real life! I am so thankful he is my great "head" doctor! He knows his business, top of "head" doctors!
After six years of never missing an appointment, he tried to contact me 3 times with telehealth, but couldn't reach me. He has a STRICT policy of 3x no-shows, and drops you, and he counted the 3 tries to phone me as no-shows... I had had a good experience prior, but he coldly left me without a referral or any medication... very negligent, very dangerous.
Outstanding Dr. ,Very knowledgeable and helpful highly recommend
He was so rude and screamed and talked over me. He said I was unstable for crying. He is 61 years old and has no idea how to properly help our youth. I would not ever take my child and if any of my friends ask, I will gladly tell them. Blows my mind that he is even allowed to attempt to treat our youth. I'm sure it is the easiest money he could ever make. He makes the whole medical profession look bad. You don't speak to a patient with rage, hatred and talk over them. Worst experience with anyone ever that is in the medical field. Maybe he needs to retire because it is obvious he could care less about helping anyone!!
I honestly can't believe he is allowed to treat our youth! He screams and talks over you and is full of rage. The worst experience I have ever had from anyone in the medical field!
At 16 I knew I had a need for a "head doc". Not until 2014/15 to get the best doctor in my whole life! 😇u So this Doctor has given me a real chance.to live like 👍normal! Thank you Dr.James! Had to become a senior citizen!! I love my mind & soul!
He was an absolute jerk..thought I was just coming in for drugs. Profiled me because I have a pain pump and am on "heavy hitter narcotics" which he never even bothered to find out what was in it or the dosage. I left his office because he was argumentative to me and treating me like a druggie. My wife was there also and couldn't believe the lack of compassion. I also have Trigeminal Neuralgia..he didn't care.
terrible doctor, did not review past medical records or listen to family members regarding my care, gave me stelazine and Lithium without properly diagnosing me or looking into how I originally came to see a doctor regarding psychiatric care, gave me little time in discussing matters and disregarding my physical needs. Did not do associated blood work required...injured me through the use of these medicines.
very knowledgeable always on time been going to him twice a month for 6 months have been to a few doctors in the past few years was always misdiagnosed he asked the right questions and is very patient

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
