List of Terrace Hill Dental Center's Reviews
Worst dental clinic in Mississippi. Avoid at all costs. I'm still suffering and paying to get what they did to my tooth fixed.
Those with dental issues, prone to cavities, or in need of dental work- beware! I really question if most of the 5 star reviews are real. I mean truly, this is NOT a 5 star place. Here's an overview of my experience: The office is clean, the front desk staff members are friendly, the hygienists are kind and gentle. I transferred here from another very popular local dentists office, after they neglected a broken filling that caused me pain, HOPING for better results. Each encounter I had with Dr. Henderson left me unsure. His bedside manner was very lack-luster. He didn't explain things, and to me, seemed like he was trying to find a "quick fix" type answer. He has often dismissed remarks I've had of being in pain. It didn't become a real issue until I had my first procedure done by this office, a filling. In November, I had complained of pain in the upper right side of my mouth, which had been a problem area before. I showed him that my back tooth was visibly dark under my filling. He did an x-ray that showed the dark area under the filling- OK... He decides "it's a reservoir and is standard. I'm not worried about it" So I ask, "should I get the dentist that did the filling to confirm/deny that?" And he very confidently says "That's not necessary, I'm telling you that's what it looks like." They then decide to do a filling between that tooth and another, saying that the pain could be coming from a cavity between the teeth. The filling was done in November. He put his weight on my jaw the whole time, cut my gums, and sent me on my way. But it felt off. I realized I was not able to floss between the teeth, and made a follow up appointment to have that fixed. He takes a look, which is VERY obviously two teeth fused together, and says "Just means I did a great job keeping the teeth close together!!! You want that" A quick Google search will tell you that it's not a "happy" accident and is an ERROR. He sawed the teeth apart, then forced floss down between the teeth which felt similar to hitting an exposed NERVE, actually shocking me. I voiced HOW painful it was and he repeatedly told me "have a great day" while the assistant tried to reassure me it was normal. Weeks go by, and they do a bite tap appointment because I AM STILL IN PAIN. I wondered why they didn't do it after the filling which has always been standard at ANY other dental office, but ok, they do it... well, the assistant does it. The area slightly improves, and when I call a 3rd time to ask about it, they tell me "the filling was flawless, you just need extra strength numbing mouthwash". They tell me that I have to get another filling on the bottom left. Well, it's now February, and I cannot fully chew on my right side, so I can't get a filling on my left. Frustrated, I seek a second opinion. This new dentist was THOROUGH, KIND, and INFORMATIVE. The bottom left spot is not bad enough to warrant a filling yet according to them. The dark tooth I mentioned before? Decay. I call the dentist who did it and they say they did not create a reservoir, so that's a double confirmation. And surprise! I also have a BROKEN FILLING that my most recent Terrace Hill x-rays actually SHOW! Oopsie! And also, a dentist not familiar with commonly used dental products, such as nano-hydroxyapatite (he didn't know what it was and called it abrasive), shouldn't pretend he knows and tell a lie. He should say "I don't have enough information to say I have an opinion". Bottom line, this dentist misses real problems and would rather do fillings that may or may not be necessary than truly help you find the root cause of your problems.
So I went in to get a tooth pulled. Told doctor I was getting hybrid dentures. I was set up with clearchoice and getting it done soon. And he said no that he knows someone who does that. So I checked it out and being hrs closer I went for it trusting Dr Wallace. After surgery a different doctor put in dentures. Little did i know later terence hill doctor Wallace took over. I guess he referred us so he thought he was entitled to a piece of the pie. He put my wife in hospital twice almost killed her the second time. By grinding a gluing in our mouths. Using steel strips to hold broken dentures together. Little did i know he had no experience in hybrid dentures. His assistants called us ginny pigs. Which we thought they were joking around. When a denture breaks it needs to be completely replaced. He glued mine seven times and broke every time before I got home. You can't glue something that takes 60lbs of pressure. We then refused to see Dr Wallace. Then we started going to the dentist all the other clients go to. He said it would have never happened if we saw him. We see him now and thank the lord. My wife is still having problems the primary dr said it is ptsd because of all the trauma she went through from Dr Wallace. My wife barely made it to the hospital in time. She spent a week in hospital being intubated. My wife also had huge soars in her mouth and no bottom teeth for three months and he did nothing. The head manager said Dr Wallace went above and beyond. I hold her responsible And they basically stole the 25 thousand from us. She changed the charges to hourly.Well that doesn't even cover one hospital bill. She refused to even refund us half of the money. Stay away from Terence Hill Dental and especially dr Wallace he is only out for themselves. Not even an apology to my wife for all that they caused.Plus it's a dirty unorganized mess. Should be ashamed of themselves. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
The office and assistants are wonderful. It's Dr Wallace who is lets just say not a good man at all just because I don't want lower myself to his level in whom he worships GOD but goes against the word of GOD. This man lied to me and said he has been doing denture implants for twenty years. But my husband and I were his first. The way we found out is this man put me in the hospital intubated for four days. Not a single apology nor from the office. The head lady there says he went above and beyond. Wow so almost killing someone is above and beyond. I had to pay 25k in hospital bills and I only had bottom teeth in my mouth for one day. The rest of the time my mouth was full of sores, blisters and ulcers. He ground on my teeth the day I went to er for at least an hour and so much powder got in my system it was toxic. And like I said at the beginning. Not ONE apology from anyone. Above and beyond what a lady to even say something like that. Watch out for that place nice as can be until they almost kill you then the evil people crawl out. I pray for people like that. Pray that GOD will show them a better path
Very happy I found them! I have very sensitive teeth and Melissa has been the best with my teeth cleanings. No discomfort at all!
Just moving to the Hattisburg area. Always a difficult task trying to find medical care. I was also in need of a dentist for my cleanings. I am very particular about hygienist and my teeth. This place is fabulous. The hygienist or gentle, but yet thorough. And the dentist has the best bedside manners. He talks to you as if you have known him your entire life. Appreciate all of their kindness and great work. So glad and lucky I choose this location to give a try. My dentist office for sure !!
My hygienist,Jeannie( Thanks Jeannie!!) was awesome! I really HATE going to dentist ( due to Very sensitive teeth& gums + bad experiences)but she was very caring & attentive to my needs. Made it a good experience ( as much as going to dentist can be!🙃) Dr.Burke was great too ! I’ll definitely be making This My dentist from now on!! Thanks Again!! Keep up great work!
Very nice staff and doctors! One of the one dentists I've ever been to that wasn't too judgy or made me feel self conscious. 5/5 Would go again :).
If I could give this Dental Office more stars I would! Having not been to the Dentist since COVID-19 I was apprehensive and knew I needed a deep clean on my teeth. Dr Henderson made me feel so comfortable and Kristin my Dental Hygienist was AMAZING! She was incredibly detail oriented and friendly. My teeth have never been so clean and white. The whole staff and experience 11/10!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
It's the people that make terrace hill great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
