In searching for a place for my father, The Claiborne was recommended to me by several friends/acquaintances. During my tour, I met multiple employees and they were all pleasant and smiling. When asked why do they work here, their answers ranged from great culture, felt valued, caring management. Great experience!
I did not have a great experience but I wish anyone else the best of opportunity
My parents live here and we all love it!
If i could give the claiborne zero stars I would. they allow the residents to be physically/mentally abusive to the dining servers and refuse to restrict them from eating in the dining hall. the mental/physical abuse there is insane. never in my life have i experienced such an unprofessional place. servers will be throwing up sick and even have COVID symptoms but are told they will be fired if they do not show up. I applied for a serving job ONLY and because they were so understaffed I was thrown in dish and was told if i did not do dishes i could be fired for a job I did not even apply for. Residents are allowed to eat in the dining hall even with a positive test. They are even allowed to roam the halls with a positive test. If my family member was staying at the claiborne and i knew about this i would file a law suit on stat. The fact a place can be so selfish and not do anything at all on trying to prevent covid but also KNOWINGLY expose them to it is beyond me. I could write a whole book on just my 4 months of experience. Feel free to contact me if any questions rise. I no longer work there because of how over working and abusive the environment was. I tried to inform the director Molly but she seemed to not believe me because I was a third party. If i was a director I would do anything to protect the residents I work over.
Most unprofessional place I ever have or ever will work at. The management here is absolutely horrible and they treat their staff like trash unless you’ve been working there for more than 8+ months. They treat covid here like it’s nothing and it’s pathetic. The staff is threatened to be fired if they call out even if it’s for being sick OR HAVING COVID SYMPTOMS. A lot of the staff refuses to speak out in fear of losing their jobs but I would not recommend sending your parents/grandparents to a place that treats their staff like trash. Wish I could give 0 stars.
I was planning a return to Hattiesburg to be near my childhood friend. It was obvious that neighborhoods had changed and searching for a home would take some time. She suggested I should look here to guarantee a safe, quiet place while looking. I wasn’t sure about any decisions, but after speaking with Diana, it was clear this would be my first stop. After arriving a day early, manager Jana, arranged for me to go right over. I was amazed how it looked like a resort. They knew what I was going through, waiting for furniture to arrive, and being totally disoriented. Everyone in staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. The food is very good and it is a great social experience meeting everyone. After seeing my apartment, I feel like this could be my last move. It has all the amenities of a condominium and is updated, not a worn out appliances, etc. The location is a country setting, yet, central to everything. I should mention, it is quiet, unlike a hotel or condominium!
We have recently moved our mother in at the Claiborne. From the first time we visited we were welcomed by everyone we encountered. My wife and I were impressed at how well the facility was layed out and what levels of care were offered. We took my mom to tour the facility the following week and she fell in love with it. We moved her in on October 11th. and she has been excited each day we visited and has stated that she loves the staff. We thank ya'll for welcoming her and making her first week great.
I had a family member of mine stay here and expected the best care for him. The staff is rude and disrespectful. Not to mention physically and verbally abusive! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!
In my 5 years of working in health care. I have found the Claiborne to be the most understaffed, abusive and rude. And disrespectful. Will never be putting my parents in this place. Do Not Recommend.
I loved the residents so much . In the 3 years of experience and how the new management was supposed to be better did nothing but firing people for no reason . They don’t take care of their residents like they should. I don’t recommend for no one
I loved the residents i also loved the people i worked with but i never in my 7 years in this profession had an executive be so unprofessional confronting me out in the public getting loud with me having an attitude and questioning my work Ethic instead of taking me to her office talking to me like an adult when i confronted her about how that was unprofessional she flipped it on me then she came back again twice and done it again in front of the residents i just left because those sweet people didn’t deserve all of that and neither did i felt attacked for no reason
The Claiborne takes such great care of its residents. It is obvious that the residents' quality of life is the community's utmost priority. The Claiborne has a great reputation from its nursing care, to activities, to dining, to their in-house therapy, and many more wonderful attributes!! I highly recommend this senior living community!
Maintance is horrible! Cheap made apartments. Stuff falling apart easy . For the price ,they should have better staff ,and maintance ,better house keeping. Slow, slow.
It is a very nice place to live! Very clean, and neat!
It is a great community to reside. We have a wonderful team that is compassionate about meeting the needs of our residents, and we take pride in having the families’ trust. We will love and care for you and your love one’s.
Not all it's cracked up to be!I've had several incidents occur with my mother who is in the memory care unit.Several smaller things that add up to apparent incompetence from bottom to top.Lack of communication within the facility is also an issue.I am losing trust that my mother will be properly monitored and taken care of and thus am looking for other options.UPDATE:THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR SRI MANAGEMENT CONTACTED ME AND I HAD A MEETING WITH THE LOCAL STAFF AND THEY HAVE ASSURED ME THAT THEY WILL BE ON TOP OF THINGS.I APPRECIATE THE EFFORTS AND LOOK FORWARD TO HAPPIER VISITS FROM NOW ON.
Incompetence abounds from bottom to top and things have declined since the new management took over about a year ago or so. Looking for another facility for folks who care about the residents more than the bottom line.
It’s a fine place living. The people are precious! And we now have our very on kitchen 🤗🤗🤗!
Comparable to a high end hotel. Great support staff, food and plenty of activities for seniors.
The admins, staff and workers all do a great job of seeing to it that the residents are cared for. We had a blast at their picnic a few years back! Also, thanks to the fine crews of Environmental Solutions of Hattiesburg, the campus is one of the tidiest and prettiest of the many I've seen at the many Nursing Homes I've played. Keep up the good work, y'all!!!
