List of Ancel Tipton's Reviews
Dr. Tipton is a great doctor, very friendly and he treats his patients with the same kind of warmth and compassion you might expect from a close family member. I 100 percent recommend Dr. Tipton.
This experience was a weird one. He collects clowns. Hundreds of them in his office. I went there because I was having debilitating headaches. I have a lot of tattoos. After he examined me, he asked that I take my cardigan off and show him my tattoos. Then he very creepily pulled my cardigan back on me. You would have had to been there to understand the creepiness. I do not recommend him to any young women. He may be a good man, but he failed on his control that day.
Dr Tipton is very knowledgeable and personable. He was very thorough and I was happy with the treatment he reccomended.
I have been a patient of Dr. Tipton for many years. For a long time I thought that he engaged in meanlingless conversation. However, it dawned on me that he needs to spend time with each patient in order to observe if I showed any signs of seizure disorders. He appears to be a kind and gentle soul.
I had a small stroke and stayed one night for the next day tests. That night, around 9:30, Dr. Tipton shows up and starts asking the same old routine questions that I'd answered twenty times before that very same day. Of course nothing came of the 15 minute visit except a bill for $180 from a collection agency because his office never sent me a bill to begin with. So, I'm sure he's a great guy and a terrific doctor but I didn't need him, and I knew that at the time, but I sure did get billed.
He refused to answer call on night at St. Dominics and my dad was taken there for a stroke. He finally showed up at 9 am the next morning after 11 hrs of no response and then tried to tell us it would "go away in about a week" When called on that that strokes do not just "go away" he left the room and we had to call another neurologist (ruth Fredericks)on our own since the ICU nurse said that Tipton was the physician of record! Yeah right! Dr. Fredericks came within the hour and recommended immedite neurosurgery consult (Dr. Adam Lewis)and the surgeon said he would likely die as he was still hemorrhaging but if was "his" dad he'd rather go down trying than just ignore it. St. Dominic administration covered for Dr Tipton and to my knowledge he wasnt even questioned much less reprimanded for not answering while on call.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
