I went to him as a kid and know I take my kids to him he and the staff are great

My son started seeing Dr. Fain when my husband and I had left active duty. I was really excited to find a doctor because my son had never seen the same doctor twice. My sister-in-law had mentioned Dr. Fain's name because she thought about taking her daughter there when she was born. Dr. Fain has been great. He may seem like he's a "Mr. Know it All" but that's probably because he has been in practice for 30+ years and does know a lot. I had my daughter three years ago and he has been her doctor from the beginning. He knows both of my kids when they have an appointment. I like how he tells us what is wrong instead of using all the medical terms that I don't understand. I'm pregnant with a third and will be taking this one to him too!!

Dr. Fain is completely unprofessional and extremely rude. Recommend using ANY other pediatrician.

Dr. Fain and his staff are the best on the coast. I used several others before taking my children to Dr. Fain. I believe he is the best. He answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like a bothersome parent. My children love him.

The man should be made to go back to medical school and learn his bedside maner tactics again. I have never seen a Dr. that botched a sercusision so bad and so rude to the family. We asked him why he did it with out a local or so kind of numing agent and he said it was none of our bussiness. Boy did he get a piece of my mind and we cald medicaide and told them and they refused to pay him. WOULD NOT RECOMEND HIM TO MY WORST ENEMY !!!!

Rude! I made an appointment two weeks in advance for a prenatal visit and consultation to meet the doctor and see if I would like to make him my baby's pediatrician. An hour before my appointment Dr. Fain's receptionist called me and told me that he canceled my appointment because "he does not know me, knows nothing about me, and knows no midwives". I tried to ask her if I could call him back to reschedule and she began to get rude saying that I needed to find another doctor. I'm planning on delivering with a midwife, maybe this freaked him out, but it honestly has nothing to do with the care that an infant needs after they are born. I will have to look at this as a blessing in disguise and find another doctor where me and my new baby are welcome.

I always can get my child in the day I set an appt. if I call first thing in the morning. I have no insurance: I do not rush my kid to the doc w/every stuffy head or fever. When a few days w/no improvement we go, Dr. Fain usually comes to the room within 8 minutes of being seated. He is knowledgeable and brisk to the point of being blunt sometimes: I was concerned my child was not wanting to eat much at all "I don't care about that, she'll eat when she's hungry" I can see where this may come off wrong for some people, but to me it put things in perspective - there was not malice in his delivery, just unvarnished truth. I said, 'Well she's drinking an Ensure every now and then..." Dr: "That's okay, just make sure she drinks plenty of liquid... an Ensure is like drinking a baked potato" - hilarious, but then I have a sense of humor and want him to help me help my child, not coddle me. Nursing staff knocked off some of the fee when they found out we were self-pay. ****

Someone told me he was a good Dr when I moved here well there wrong!! Staff is rude made fun of my sons name I heard then down the hall and it is a common old name. Dr is rude told my 8yr old he was fat and needed to go on a diet you don't talk to a child like that. Does blood work for everything office looks like Med care office nasty old and dirty

I didn't like him b/c he rushed us in & out.. he was also a smart aleck...i switched to dr millette after about 3 visits with dr fain..

i love dr fain and his nurses! he was my husbands pediatrician since he was born and now he takes care of both of my children! he is a very knowledgable dr. if he has sample medicines and extra formula in his office he will make sure he gives it to you so you dont have to go out and buy it! the only thing i dont like is his office staff. sometimes they are ok but most of the time they seem a little rude and i dont even think they realize they are coming off that way but they are!
