List of Erika Tanner's Reviews
Dr. Tanner is fantastic. An excellent bedside manner, very helpful & patient, she knows when to push change, when to take a harm reduction approach, & gives multiple options.
Absolutely she is a disgusting human Dr Tanner. She has absolutely no Patient-Centered Care or any Good Bedside Manner. Plus she has a lot unsolicited comments in regard to your choices for a woman that aged like milk…. Honestly, next time I’d ask Doc McStuffins for help.
It takes about 30 minutes for the staff in the office to answer any call, when they eventually answer they are rude, condescending and rushing. Dr. Tanner has a 10 minute max rule, no matter what the issue. One issue per consult even if the symptoms are related. Usually masking the problem, not getting to the root of the issue. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to find another Doctor who is taking new patients.
Dr. Tanner is racist and mean. She is focused on giving medicines and feed pharma. She yelled and screamed at me when I was unwell and had some questions. non-professional and zero empathy!
Over the years she has become very mean and impatient with me. I basically feel like I have no health care support at this point because she’s such a barrier for me to receive the help I need. She also dismisses most of my concerns regarding my health based on her own opinion of my feelings.
Always late. Lacks empathy. Completely Fake. For anyone who thinks otherwise, just wait long enough, you will see her for who and what she truly is. For those who know exactly what I'm talking about, send in your complaints to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
I became a patient of Dr. Tanner about 3 years ago when my physician of nearly 20 years retired. Dr. Tanner has been a complete disappointment. She is never on time and has kept me waiting for up to 1.5 hours. She rushes appointments. She seems to lack self-awareness when she communicates. She can be rude and patronizing and is often defensive when asked questions about health topics, medical tests, or medications. My main concern with Dr. Tanner is that she lacks knowledge and understanding about mental illness, such as depression and anxiety. At an appointment to discuss difficulties that I was having related to depression and the anti-depressant drug I was taking, she told me that I didn't seem able to manage my life or solve "my problems." She told me she was not a psychotherapist and didn't have time to talk about my mental health. I was formally diagnosed with depression in 2016 by my previous doctor. I had waited years to seek help for depression because I was afraid that I would be treated the way Dr. Tanner treated me. Since that experience with Dr. Tanner, I try to limit my appointments with her to once a year and only see her about physical health matters, if necessary. I bring mental health issues to a psychologist. Unlike others who have commented on this site, I have always found the staff at Dr. Tanner's office to be professional, pleasant and helpful.
Dr Tanner is truly so lovely, I’ve had some pretty challenging experiences with doctors in the past and I spent months pinching myself because I couldn’t believe it was real that I have a great, competent and caring doctor. She researched my condition after taking me on and shared some of the things she learned about the most current treatment and medications for it. She really listens and remembers what I share, I feel fully confident in dr. Tanner. And very grateful - really good doctors are few and far between!
Amazing Doctor 12/10. Patient, kind, caring, takes the time to listen and discuss issues and explains treatment thoroughly. I am very happy with the service provided by Dr. Tanner.
Dr.Tanner is the best, tells it like it is! Does what it takes to get you the right diagnosis. The staff is always helpful. Sometimes a little behind but what doctor isn't? Overall great experiences for the last 12 years!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
