I was impressed with Dr. O’Mara. I had ACL surgery & a medial meniscus removal. He was very upfront about recovery time, etc. it did take me quite some time to heal but I had no problems!

The wait is extremely short (5-10) at the most!! Dr. O’mara focuses on the reason you’re there and provides the care needed; not much small talk and I’m OK with that.

Dr. O'Mara and his team are the reason that I can still run. I have osteoarthritis in my right knee, which was causing me a lot of pain. After treatment last year, I ran a 100-mile race the week of my 68th birthday. Thank you Mississippi Sports Medicine!

Dr. Omara is great! He was my doctor for many years dealing with pain from a prior knee injury. He has a great bedside manner and is very careful to make sure he explains everything in detail. I highly recommend working with Dr. Omara!

I have seen Dr. O'Mara for several years, and he has been great in helping me manage my knee pain due to a torn ACL from many years ago and development of osteoarthritis. (`I am not a good candidate for surgery due to my weight, my limited trunk and leg strength, PVD, CVI, and lymphedema in my legs.) I had scheduled an appointment for injections in both knees for today, 12/27; however, I received a phone call this morning in which I was told that Dr. O'Mara wants me to see a whole knee joint doctor. Dr. O'Mara had mentioned this several months ago at my last appointment with him - that he was going to refer me to one; however, nothing else was said during that appointment. I thought he may have just been thinking out loud or at least not decisively because he didn't mention another doctor during that appointment. Since I have seen friends and coworkers who are in far better mobility and strength condition than I am have some challenging recovery moments, I definitely know I need to delay surgery until there's absolutely no other option. Injections help my pain and knee movement for 6-8 months, sometimes a year. Dr. O'Mara has been very kind and knowledgeable, and I believe he still is; however, being called a few hours before a much anticipated and needed appointment for injections was really disappointing and casts a negative light on my review. I can't give zero or one star because Dr. O'Mara has been so professional and has helped me so much for several years. Until today, I would have given him 5 stars. Receiving the call this morning to inform me that I would no longer have today's appointment was a major disappointment because I was expecting to be able to sit down, stand up, walk, and sleep with more ease and a lot less pain.

Had knee relief given after 1st visit with Doc O’mara . Then yrs pasted & back again with pain I went. He’s done meniscus surgery on both my knees since then , both went well. He listened to me carefully in office visits, then making best suggestions & plan for me. Very good at asking u questions needed to treat & diagnosing problems. PT department very helpful. His nursing staff has been fantastic & I’ve not experienced anything but good results with ease of making appts . I’ve used three different offices for the appts & all are good. It was usually which had 1st opening for me! Now over yrs these knees are causing some more pain with wear & arthritis taking hold , he’s been able to alleviate a good bit of that also. Thx fully the Sports Medicine Group will have partners there when I need to go to next step. Appreciate Doc O’mara ??very qualified ,professional & has a good bedside manner.
