The Doctors try there best to find out what is going on with you before doing anything to you. If one don't know you will be referred to another so, you going to be taking care of regardless it might be a while but, a least at end you will know what's wrong with you. I love Dr. Smitherman because he understands me and he take time to listen to his patients to see what the problem is.

He introduced himself then sat down next to me. I’ve had Doctors that walk in and never introduce themselves. To me, that’s rude. While he already had my MRI, he still asked me to tell him what’s going on. As I was telling him about my neck, he started to poke around and found the most painful spot. I could tell he is very knowledgeable about his profession, and that made me more at ease. He questioned me about my pain and told me that basically it travels to other areas which I was experiencing. He explained some options and I decided on an injection for next week. I feel comfortable with him doing this procedure and while I’m nervous, I trust him.

I have been in severe neck pain and have constant headaches since an automobile accident April 2022. After going to two different pain management clinics and being treated poorly, a nurse friend recommended Dr. Jeremy Smitherman at Mississippi Sports Medicine. At the first consultation visit, I was treated with kindness and respect by the entire staff. Dr. Smitherman sat down and really listened to my concerns, and discussed the options for managing my pain. Even though surgery may be in my future, I am so grateful for finding Dr. Smitherman. He truly cares about managing my pain.

My doc was interested and helped me understand what my MRI results revealed. He took immediate action to help me resolve my issues, although it may be early to give me an epidural. I’m really not in great pain at this time.

Best doctor I have been to in my life! After 6 months of excruciating back pain and a back surgery with another one on the way Dr. Smitherman and his team were a breathe of fresh air. Extremely professional and very caring. It was the first time I felt like someone listened and actually cared and they are such a blessing to me because that in itself made me feel better! Thanks Doc and God Bless!
