Dr. Mallett is a great dr and he took care of me and fixxed my problem with my cornea as it got hurt. He did a procedure to fix it.

My husband waited an hour and a half, in the waiting room, before being taken back to see the doctor. Dr Mallette wanted to refer my husband to a neurologist and stressed the importance of getting him seen soon. It has been two weeks and three follow up calls I have made to JEA and still we've heard nothing about this IMPORTANT appointment with the neurologist except that they have tried twice to make the appointment and the neurologist office has not returned their calls. My suggestion is that if a patient or doctor's office leaves a message and expects a call back, that call should be returned. If the receptionist takes a message and asks for the patient's phone number the nurse should return the call. If the nurse calls another doctor's office to make an appoint for a patient the other doctor's office should return the call.

Great Dr. performed cornea transplant, lens implant, lens extraction & scar tissue removal. He did all of this in two hours & also got it paid for when he learned I had no insurance. I would recommend him to anyone with an eye issue! Very, very good & honest doctor!

I have been treated by Dr. Mallette for over 6 years. Yes, many times their is a very long wait to see him. This is because he is a surgeon who CARES. Many times he is late because of an unexpected problem during surgery with another patient. I have no problem waiting for the best, a very skilled surgeon who is well worth it. I wouldn't trust my vision to anyone else.

Absolutely ridiculous wait time. We have never waited so long to see a doctor. To the point of lacking professionalism.

Had an running eye with white crust after sleeping and also sealed closed. Called for an appointment. I made the call around 16th of February, the nurse gave me an appointment for May 10th. How ridicules. No help in finding another doctor in this large sea of ophthalmologist working under JEA. I had to seek medical attention from several states away.
