I love Dr. Thurmond and his Nurse Practitioner, Miss Amy!! Both are great and listen to you. The only reason I give 3 stars is because of the front office staff...horrible service and bad attitudes. I was going to have surgery on my right shoulder. The only information My Surgeon needed was my blood work up that I had had done six weeks before when I had my physical. My surgeon sent a request over for the bloodwork, but the front office staff took it upon themselves to decide that I needed a chest x-ray as well and refused to release my bloodwork. It took over two weeks to finally get my blood work to the surgeon. The only reason they finally sent it to the surgeon was that I was going to have surgery in two days and I threatened to come down to their office and get it myself. The office manager at his office informed me that there was no way I was going to have the surgery, they would refuse to do the surgery because I did not have a chest x-ray. She was rude and wrong.

Dr Thurmond has been my primary for over 10 years and really like him. His new facility is great and he can offer many options now.

I've been seeing Dr. Thurmond for about 14-years and have never had a problem getting a response when I've called, sometime quicker than I've planned. He has always been professional and I truly believe that I have received excellent medical care. He takes time to get to know his patients and most of all he listens. He looks at the entire medical history, does a thorough exam and presents his findings and recommendation. His staff is fantastic. Would highly recommend him to family/friends.
