When you can make a 3 yr old at ease so she can be examined, is a great doctor in my opinion. I also liked that he wanted to try other options besides surgery.

On a Monday morning, I requested an appointment with Dr. Abston at Lakeland Surgical regarding a small umbilical hernia diagnosed by an ER visit while traveling the prior week. To my surprise on Monday afternoon, Lakeland Surgical called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Abston for next Monday morning. Dr. Abston reviewed the CT scan findings I had received from the recent ER visit, and patiently discussed those findings of the umbilical hernia and a liver cyst. Dr. Abston outlined a plan of action to address my hernia and cyst. Given my discussion with Dr. Abston, I have complete confidence in his abilities to surgically address my hernia and cyst issues.
