I broke 2 bones in my wrist, he had scheduled my surgery but I found out I was pregnant and had to cancel the surgery, so he rescheduled to have a block put in my arm so he could realign the bone and put a cast on and he did but AS SOON as the feeling came back in my arm I was in severe pain crying like a big baby because the cast was so tight it was mashing on one of the broken bones and my fingers had turned blue and had no feeling in them so I endup at the er since Dr Baylis and his nurse both were out the office that Friday, I couldn't stand the pain the whole weekend it hurt more than the break did! So the er took this old school saw to cut the cast off which took 35 minutes because the saw would get so hot the nurses couldn't hold it, o and the saw cut my elbow when it cut thru the cast. So I call Dr Baylis for a follow up thinking maybe he'd put another cast on but no, this man opened the door to the room and stood there and with a attitude looked at me and said what do you want me to do!? There's NOTHING MORE I CAN DO so are you comfortable with your wrist being this way the rest of your life, I was in shock thinking to myself how unprofessional with 2 of my children sitting there! The he said I can do a x-ray if you want me to, what's the point of a x-ray when he just stood there telling me there's nothing more he could do!? I told him no thank you'd find another orthopedic who actually cares! So I looked in my medical chart on my patient portal and he puts in the notes how he explained to me his concern because of the seriousness of my 2 breaks! I wish he woulda been that nice all he could say is THERE'S NOTHING MORE I CAN DO! So fast forward, my ob refereed me to a orthopedic and can you belive the nurses there told me there was another pregnant lady called them with almost the same story and Dr Baylis told them there was nothing he could do! Lesson learned will never use another orthopedic at that clinic! If you want a orthopedic who doesn't care about the patients or see the patient all the way thru til the problem is fixed then go see this man! Very uncaring and unprofessional!!! I'm only 36 years old and to be told i have to live with my wrist like this is very devastating, ESPECIALLY with a baby on the way!!!!
If I could give 10 stars I would. This man is a GOD SEND, and an excellent surgeon. I tore my patellar tendon in a fall and after waiting several weeks before reaching out to Dr. Baylis, he was able to repair my knee and it feels better now than prior to surgery. He is very caring and compassionate and the best orthopedic surgeon one could ever want. He is amazing, he listens and explains in detail any questions or concerns you may have. Above all, he gives God all of the credit.
I had dual hip replacements by him at the end of 2012. I highly recommend Dr. Baylis and Premier Orthopedics. Very attentive to detail, listens to patients, a very positive experience.
He was kind and listened to my complaints. I would highly recommended him.
Dr. Baylis went out of his way to ensure the emergency surgery needed to repair a broken wrist and the more complicated surgery a week later to reconstruct a shattered elbow were well-planned; everything needed and everyone involved were in place to ensure the best outcome. The well-being of the patient was always the priority. His staff (in surgery and in his office) are exceptional. All are extremely responsive to questions. We could not have asked for better care at any step of recovery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
