Dr. Hem mistreated my son who has Autism. My son left his office feeling blamed for his own problems and mocked for his struggles. He then sent a certified letter to him dismissing him from the practice. Pathetic.

Dr. Hem is the best doctor I have ever had. I am not sure what happened with the other reviewer but I think she mistook his sometimes stern demeanor as rude. He spends at least a half hour with me or my wife each visit, going over records and treatments in a very meticulous manner. He cares about his patients and has even returned calls after hours. He is the type of doctor everyone dreams about. Short waits, long personal visits, careful consideration of patient concerns and needs. If you can get on his list of patients you will be very happy. We have been his patients for a couple years now and are extremely satisfied.

Dr. Hem has been my internist for over 20 years. He is very thorough and takes his time. He answers every question, and if he thinks you need a referral, he doesn’t hesitate to see you get the best care. Dr. Hem has been my Internal Medicine Doctor for 10 years. He is extremely thorough and takes time to answer any question. He does not hesitate to refer to a specialist if he feels the situation warrants. Of all the doctors I have visited in my 78 years, which are many due to my military career, I rate Dr. Hem at the head of the class. He is genuinely concerned for each of his patients.

I do not recommend "Dr." Hem. I have never in my life been spoken to as rudely, mean and inappropriately in all my life seeing doctors. It took all I had not to cry until I left the building. I will never go back. Highly disappointed!!
