Diversicare Of Meridian does not have an adequate amount of comments to generate the sentiment analysis.
My wife is currently there now. She is recovering from a stroke. I have been pleased with care she received and progress she has made. I visit often my wife is happy no complaints. My only complaint has been communication ! Hard to talk to anyone on the phone call backs are very rare if any. Other than that it's all good.
It’s horrifying when they don’t answer the phones or pick them up and drop them. This goes on for hours on the weekends. Sadly, it overshadows the terrific nurses they do have working there. Maintenance needs to get it together. This nursing home has been one of the best and most beautiful in town in the past. I’ve been going there since 1978.
Just got off the phone with my grandmother and she was in a lot of pain. Needed to be turned over, said she’s been hitting the call button and no one would come help her. Let me say that she is in her right mind & once I finally talked to her a nurse she said, “ I wish your grandmother would stop giving us bad reviews. She hasn’t hit her call button!”Well maybe her call button is broken so could you go check on her and roll her over so her back won’t hurt? And please do it nicely! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
If I could give Diversicare zero star ⭐️, I would!!!My mother was a resident there for a brief time before she passed in early December 2020. This was the only facility in Meridian at the time that would accept a patient during Covid. I was hopeful that it would be a good and safe place for her. I received a call after one week and she had been rolled back to her room from physical therapy and left UNATTENDED in her wheelchair. She was unable to sit up and she was found in the floor with the wheelchair on top of her!!!!! I called and emailed physical therapy to talk with them about this incident & they NEVER responded. Luckily, she wasn’t hurt in the fall to our knowledge. After less than 2 weeks, she got bed sores from a lack of being moved regularly. She did not have the sores on her backside when she went to Diversicare. She was transferred to Anderson’s for a couple of weeks due to some health issues. She got transferred back to Diversicare and was only there for 3 or 4 days before she passed. They never told us that she had any changes or regression. They gave her a pain medicine and came back 15 minutes later and she was gone. When we picked up her things, she had a missing 💍 ring!!! I had a photo of the three rings the day she went to Diversicare. Two rings were returned to us and of course nobody has a clue what happened?!!Next, they started sending threatening letters of collection right away. My mom’s paperwork was still processing with Medicaid and were waiting on the acceptance to pay her portion of the bill. They didn’t allow time for processing, let alone beating us down for a payment while we were grieving over our Mom.I would NOT send anyone to Diversicare ! I know sometimes there seems to be no other alternative, that was our situation. Please keep looking for a different place that will give your loved one a better place and better care too.*** if you have to use this facility, don’t let them have any jewelry or valuablesFor anyone who has had bad experiences with Diversicare, you do have a voice! File a reply with Mississippi dept of health and the Mississippi State board of nursing if you need a place to file a report. I want to help prevent others from going through bad things. Many times it seems like there is nothing to do to help. Make a report, if this is applicable to your experience.
My dad was having some issues there with his food being cold, his clothes coming up missing, and his roommate not getting the care he needed when he had accidents on himself.I witnessed first hand why his food would be cold. After the servers brought the food buggy out it sat in the same spot for 12 minutes before anyone started handing out the trays. Then it took another 7 minutes after my dad got his food to get something to drink. I ended up having to go and get him Drink because he almost choked twice waiting on them. This is not the place you want your family member the staff staff are unprofessional, the environment is a mess, and I am pulling my father from there and moving him to another place while he is finishing his rehab.
No accountability. The 2-3 day honeymoon is fine. After that, there is no communication, management doesn't care. High turnover in employees means NO ONE CARES.
People who work here are rude, unprofessional, hostile, and engage in bullying that is similar to petty, high school drama. Management is horrible.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
