List of Edward Smith's Reviews
Waste of time. Was sent to PT, saw him again 2 myths later. He suggested chiropractor and acupuncture for six months, then he would “do” something about fixing my back. I can not do either because of prior back/hip surgeries. So he told me to “just take more medicine and come back in six months.” For what? I feel like he is simply not interested in helping a patient.
Dr. Smith did not help me when I was bent over in pain and could not walk. They got a MRI moved up because of it. He said he couldn’t see anything to cause that and sent a message for me to go to the pain clinic. He didn’t ask to see me, etc. injections and meds had gotten me where I could stand and went shortly to My doctor at MS Sports Medicine in Jackson, Ms. He read my MRI and told me from the MRI what was wrong, where the pain was and why I was having it. Two days later he did surgery. When I asked my doctor in Jackson why Dr. Smith said he didn’t see anything on the MRI, the surgeon explained he probably didn’t know what he was looking for!!!!!!!!! Really?
I am about to undergo my 3rd surgery with Dr Smith.. I think he is an excellent doctor.. and very focused on what he does.. I will say that he lacks a little in bedside manner.. but he will answer any questions that you have for him.. he has always been kind and very honest with me.. and I appreciate that so much.. I wouldn't want any other doctor doing the kind of surgery that I have to have.. but him.. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a good doctor ❣️
I had lumbar laminectomy and discectomy from l4-s1 due to spinal stenosis and buldging discs that Dr. Smith preformed. Before surgery I could barley walk severe nerve pain and severe muscle spasms down both of my legs. He preformed surgery in Jan of 2020. It was the best decision I ever made and I would recommend him to anyone!!! Have full functionality of my legs and little to no pain!!! Thank you Dr. SMITH!!
Worst Doctor i have ever met. Very unprofessional and extremely dishonest. Should not be allowed to continue practice in any State. Licence should be revoked permanently. #smh

I have to admit the front desk is clueless and so is his nurse I relocated in April and have called um every week to have my paperwork sent over so I can see Dr close to me and yet here I am pass due on my last appointment and still have no dr here because their ignorant is had alot of issues besides this but this is my problem currently and not just that the meds they gave me cause shortness of breathe they refuse to get me a real pain med
I was referred to Dr. Smith by the Orthopedic Specialist at Rush. He came In Exam room and stood with his back to me reading my chart. He said he was referring me to rheumatologist. He said he was referring me for PT and pain management. My caretaker, who was with me at the time, requested a pain specialists that she was familiar with. He said he would refer me to that physician. He never addressed my lumbar problems, bulging discs, none of the my problems. It’s now been 4 weeks of excruciating pain and I’m still waiting for appointment with rheumatologist. I’ve made many phone calls to Dr. Smith’s office asking for the appointment to no avail. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHYSICIAN/ SURGEON to anyone who needs medical assistance.
very well satisfied so far

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
