My dad was sent here for wound care only. We were scheduled for his one week care meeting when we found out he had covid. His health declined quickly to the point intubation was brought up. The social worker Lee was God sent. He kept me updated on every aspect of care, from finding medications at other hospitals, praying, and going above and beyond for me and my family. The nurses, techs, cafe workers and house keeping became family to him as well. I tried to name you all but didn't want to leave anyone out. Even after his transfer to Swing Bed they still called and even visited him to make sure he was doing ok and OMG and kept his hair braided. This facility exceeded our family's expectations and words cannot express the gratitude we have. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. One thing I know he says he faintly remembers is seeing a group of staff surrounding his bed holding hands and praying over him. All of the prayers were answered because my daddy came home yesterday. We love each and everyone one of you!! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!
Regency Hospital was the best. The staff is fantastic! If I need to go back, this is where I would want to be. It was an honor to be cared for by these amazing people.
They did save my loved ones life, however, they cursed them out, talked down to them and ignored them continuously. They did save their life though which says they will do their job, just begrudgingly.
Wasn't trying to leave any stars on my rating. The nursing staff as a majority is highly unsatisfactory. I have a relative that was transferred to them and from the job performance that I've witnessed I'm not convinced that they understand what High Observation Unit means. By all means, avoid having yourself or any of your loved ones hell don't even send your most hated enemies be sent there.
The staff at Regency was wonderful. My father was very sick & we were worried about the transfer to Regency because the hospital that transferred him had been a horrible experience. We didn’t have our expectations set high, but Regency proved us wrong. They provided my dad with incredible care that helped him improve so much. He said everyone was great to him. This truly makes a difference in a persons recovery when the patient has such support encouraging him. It meant a lot to me to able to communicate with a staff that didn’t act like I was bothering them by asking questions. They acted like they truly cared about his improvement. I loved the team approach of when he was first admitted we did a call with all the departments to discuss the plan/goals for my dad and met them during the discharge meeting. The social worker was very attentive. He listened to our needs/concerns and made sure they were addressed, involved us in the decision making of home health and which medical store we’d like to use. So often we haven’t been given choices. My dads hearing was horrible from fluid in his ears but they made every effort to communicate with him respectfully. Therapy gave him the tough encouraging love that he needed to build his strength back up. Dietary provided him nice good meals different that your usual hospital food and supplied him with boost drinks when he didn’t have an appetite. The nurses were great and so sweet!! You could tell they were smiling even with their masks on, being so kind when he needed it the most. I felt secure about leaving him with them. The room was kept clean, sheets were changed when needed. Nurses would change them without any hesitation of waiting on somebody else to do it, unlike we’ve experienced other places. Even the HR director checked on how my dads stay was going. He spent 3 weeks there and by the end he was so much better. Would highly recommend because of the staff.
When my father in law was admitted to Regency, we had lost a lot of faith in hospital staff after being transferred from another facility. That faith was restored here. All of the staff at Regency was so caring and truly had the best interest of us at heart. We were blessed to be at this facility in the final stages of my father in law’s life.
I would like to say something about regency. This place done an amazing job with my mother. I can not express how blessed we are that she came here. The staff here was amazing. My mother had covid and was transferred here. She was in real bad shape . Not only is she getting to come home she would not have been able to with out the love and care from this wonderful place . She was in here for her birthday and they sang happy birthday to her and made her feel special being with the pandemic going on they rocked. They were even nice enough to video it and send to me . My mama is so thankful that she came here . And her family can not thank them enough for everything they done for her . Just amazing is all I can say. Thank you all😍😍

This place does miracles my mother is one of there’s . She had gotten covid and her lungs was in bad shape she ended up with a trech . And was sent here to regency . We could not believe how fast they was able to wing her off of it . The staff here rocks . She had to spend her birthday in there and the nurses wanted to make her feel special so they gathered up and sang for her even recorded it and sent it to me . They didn’t have to but that just shows you they care . We are so blessed she came here . Thank you all for everything y’all done . Y’all was a blessing to us . Thank you
Avoid this place. We were warned by others about how bad the nursing care was. There are some very good nurses there but it is a roll of the dice on who you get. Some just don’t care, and will let you lay there in pain.
After my lengthy stay at Baptist hospital in Columbus I had been bed ridden so long, standing and walking weren’t things I could do. I was on highflo oxygen and they couldn’t wean me off of it. My family had heard of regency hospital in meridian and they started fighting to have me moved there. It was quite a back and forth ordeal but finally we got approval, they finally got an opening and finally got the extra staffing and I was moved by ambulance. Within a week they had me removed from highflo and started weaning me down off regular oxygen. Also my rehab was started on that floor as well. Both physical therapy and occupational therapy were started. When we first started it took 2 stout men to even help me stand beside my bed. By the end of 2 weeks I was able to take about 15 steps with them holding onto me . I was then moved to the intensive rehab floor . Approx 3 hours of rehab was done daily. There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing every single one of my therapist were. You can tell when people have a passion for what they do and aren’t just there for a pay check. Everyone of them truly had a passion for trying to help me get back to “life” as I once knew it . There I was able to stand with the assistance of just one of the ladies helping me . I also started going for walks in the hall and before I knew it was walking 150 feet and more . My last move was to swingbed. My last hurdle was being able to stand on my own from a wheelchair to my walker with no help. How amazing was my swing bed PT ?! Within a couple of days or so they had me getting up on my own. Also I was able to walk 300 feet. The encouragement, professionalism, caring and compassion all of them showen to me was fantastic. I highly recommend if you or you have family or friends struggling with recovery from being on highflo, or getting off a ventilator. And like me having to recover physically from being bed ridden for months. Regency hospital and the therapy floors there, were truly a blessing to me. God truly placed ones in my path that he knew I needed. I would never have any reservations recommending this facility to anyone.
This hospital in Meridian, MS is terrible. They need to be under investigation and clean house with an entire new staff. My Aunt unfortunately had to stay here and would be left for hours in a chair where she could not return to her bed even after calling the nurses station several times. Whenever family would call to check in with my Aunt, the staff would constantly just transfer the calls without giving any helpful information. She never would receive her messages or her gifts. This hospital has the worse care and most unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with in my life. I pray for all the patients who are their alone with no family to look after them due to Covid. This staff knows there is no voice for the patients with their loved ones not there to report how poor the care is at this establishment. I hope that there will be an investigation so this facility can restaff and the patients can get the care they deserve.
My dad was in this hosptial .He was in Anderson hospital first for 2 weeks doing pretty good, til he went to Regency and just 4 days after he got there he passed away there.Gave him anxiety meds and his body couldn't handle it and couldn't get over it he was 84 yrs old 😔 .I dont recommended this place at all..
My husband was transferred to Regency for rehabilitation and to be weaned off the trach. We could not have asked for a better experience. The staff were professional yet so friendly and caring. The therapists were focused on getting my husband back to his full potential. Everything was done in such a timely manner. We feel we were blessed to have been sent to Regency. Our most sincere thanks to all the staff from the bottom of our hearts.
My father was just discharged today and we could not have found a more caring and compassionate group of caregivers anywhere. Their entire team worked together and listened to our concerns and worked with us all the way through as we improved daily. Their love for what they do shines through! We highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs a little more care before entering a swing bed unit or before going home. Thank you for everything!!
My father was there in April and the staff treated him with such respect and courtesy. His name was Louis Ray Thompson Jr. He passed away there on April 26th and the staff were so kind to the whole family. I will never be able to thank them enough for all the did and the compassion they showed him. Especially one particular nurse named Patrick. Thank you all so much for your kindness and caring.
Great place to be, if you need to be. The nurses are wonderful. They care on the 2nd floor. The floor is clean. The rooms are clean.
