List of Robert M. Pickering's Reviews
He saw my daughter for a leg injury. I felt like he dismissed her and said she has a hematoma. My gut instinct told me otherwise. We had a second opinion and turns out she has a hamstring tear.
I heard Dr. Pickering was the best and that's what I wanted for my husband who was experiencing severe pain. Dr. Pickering seemed annoyed by us and our questions. I was very disappointed. I guess we will have to endure this type treatment because he is the best. Doctors should be more compassionate.
He is the best
Dr. Robert M. Pickering is an excellent Dr. / Surgeon. He performed surgery on my left hand which was afflicted with Dupuytren’s Contracture. After surgery I was a bit impatience for the length of time it took to heal. I finally accepted it just takes time to heal. The weeks after the surgery was uncomfortable and painful but that was to be expected. Now all that seems to be over and I look at my hand and feel grateful that I’m able to play the piano well again. My hand looks good and the DC is gone. Dr. Pickering is an excellent Dr.
We've used him for years. We love him because he doesn't just rush into surgery and takes his time to try to figure out what the problem really is. Yes, sometimes this takes multiple appts and trial and error and that can be frustrating when you're in pain but these steps must be taken. He's not a magician and when you're having problems with your body you shouldn't want someone to rush to a diagnosis. Sometimes I do feel like he's in and out too quickly but when I ask him to explain, he does.
My whole family has been using him for years. We love him because he doesn't just rush into surgery and takes his time to try to figure out what the problem really is. Yes, sometimes this takes multiple appointments and trial and error and that can be frustrating when you are in pain. There are steps that must be taken. He's a doctor not a magician and when you're having problems with your body you shouldn't want someone to rush to a diagnosis. Sometimes I do feel like he's in and out a little to quickly but if you ask him to explain things more clearly he always does. I trust him and that means a lot these days. I've called several times and ask for his nurse to call me and they always call me back the same day.
Saw this doctor a week ago. Explained my issue and how I didnt have time to mess with "band-aid" fixes because of my work travel. Not only he do exactly that, he couldnt even be bothered to write a prescription for what he said he was. Side note: it took a WEEK of leaving messages and complaining before I was allowed to speak to his assistant. See this guy at your own risk knowing he is a treat and street care provider.
Have been treated as a follow-up to a broken hip and 4 months ago in follow-up for a broken wrist and humerus. Worked in medical field myself prior to my disability in 1998 and highly recommend Dr. Pickering. Very knowledgeable and compassionate... spends as much time as needed instead of rushing. Furthermore, the office staff is wonderful when it comes to scheduling, return phone calls, etc. Five star service all the way around!
Dr. Pickering was very thorough and kind. I'd recommend him to anyone I know. His office team was delightful and made me feel comfortable right from the start.
After giving this doctor good reviews a couple of years ago, I was very disappointed with the last visit. Having severe back pain, went to Ortho One. Took 2 x-rays & he came in the room for less than 10 minutes, told me he couldn't see anything on the x-ray & dismissed me. When I decided to go to another doctor for a second opinion I had to get a copy of MY records.Dr. Pickering's office tells me I have to pay $10.00 for a copy of each x-ray & $1.00 a page for a copy of my records. The insurance has already paid him over $300.00 for less than a 10 minute visit. First time I have paid for a copy of my own records from any doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
