Just got home from 2nd time at this hospital in 6 days with kidney stones. Had to wait more than 1hour and 30 minutes to get any pain medication after literally crying and pleading. Then my nurse Alicia told me they wouldn’t discharge me without a family member signing off on my paperwork. I told her I had no one and she walked out and left me there for 3 hours. I pushed the nurse button twice asking for something for pain to which I was told ok and nobody came. Then Alicia finally showed up and started taking out my IV saying I was discharged now since it had been 4 hours since my pain meds and I was okay to drive. I told her I had a ride waiting for me but was in pain since it had been so long since I received any medication. She told me I could pick up my prescriptions and I asked what they were. She told me two which were not for pain. I asked about a pain med and she said well that’s another one. I asked her how I was supposed to know that and she just stared at me. I got up to leave and she just walked out. Zero compassion tons of condescension and left in about as much pain as I was in when I arrived. Horrible patient care.
This hospital is the slowest hospital ive ever been too. It also has the most incompetent nurses doctors and staff I have ever met. My friend has been in and out of the hospital the last three days coming back with issues because they cant seem to get it right the first time. If you have any health issues I pray to God you dont have to come to this hospital and you make it in time somewhere far far away.
Why cant they put someone to answer calls that is not an unfriendly no class mumble mouth
Everyone was really nice my only complaint would be the wait for the shot while my husband was in pain I had to ask four times for someone to finally come in to give it to him cause they forgot.
I dont trust the ER at this hospital. I visited with my infant daughter in 2016 and Ive never seen such an unprofessional hospital of this size during my 20 plus years in the U.S. I feel lucky I gave birth to my daughter in Indiana two months before I came to Oxford as I dont trust the service and professionals here. I have not been to them since and I just pray I wont be needing to go here for an emergency heaven forbid. Seeing recent comments about the ER I can see they have changed little and my experience was not out of the ordinary. I dont see how they can continue operating like this.
Three visits to ER with Covid and received the worst treatment from doctors. Refused to offer me the antibody treatment stating that I had to let it run its course after one week of being sick. Sent hone with ibuprofen which thickens blood. If I have been treated appropriately the fist time the virus would have lasted half the time. I believe you get treated according to your insurance. If your insurance is great they take care of you. Otherwise you’re better off fending for yourself…or driving to Tupelo and going to a real hospital.
I came into the ER for a laceration on my foot and had to get stitches and the wait was extremely long due to a shortage of nurses. I arrived at 327pm and was discharged at 804pm. Of course that wasnt told to ME from the oh so rude front desk folk but a Nurse Practioner Courtney Sessums assured ME that she was about to take care of ME and she did just that. She took ME in and cleaned the cut and stitched it up like new. The RN Hannah was very polite and made sure she explained my aftercare to ME. Cudos to the two of them.
Told receptionist that a home health nurse said my neighbor needed immediate care at ER due to AFib. Didnt happen. I also watched another gentleman suffering terribly from illness in the ER waiting room but he wasnt prioritized either. Sad. We couldnt stand what we were seeing and left hopefully to never return.
I had an appointment for a breast biopsy scheduled for 8AM. They called me back on time everything was on time. Everyone was compassionate professional and I was going home by 9AM. Highly recommend
A family member received excellent care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
