Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center's Online Review Report Card

My son went to Stonewater two years ago. He still talks about it with some regularity. It really made a positive and lasting difference in his life. This program offers excellent individual and group therapy to address addiction. They are different from other programs in that they don’t just treat the addiction-they treat the whole child and the issues underlying the addiction that led to the problems in the first place. They also provide regular presentations and mentoring from successful men in various fields-and these interventions were instrumental in guiding my son to have the motivation to truly create a successful and drug free life. My son came out of the program ready to take his ACT/SAT and motivated to go to college-with true goals and inspiration that had been absent before this program (he had dropped out of high school and sworn off higher education before Stonewater). He is now a successful college student, working part time, and saving/investing for his future. He is now a polite young man-a courteous communicator with healthy boundaries-who nurtures positive relationships with others and chooses to avoid negative influences in his life. He has sought out and found good mentors in his life and has ambitious short-term and long-term goals. I feel that the program at Stonewater was a key turning point in his life-and I will always be grateful.

Went to Stonewater for mental health with 2 attempts. i was brainwashed into thinking i was an addict. i had to witness physical encounters and fights. And i had to deal with un accepting staff and patients. I came out and fell into a crippling depression because of the things i was told. after rehab i had 8 more attempts and fell into using alcohol to cope. i had to figure things out myself because of the loneliness i felt. parents do not make the mistake of sending your child here. thank you Stonewater for making my life a living hell.

Stonewater is a safe and supportive environment for adolescents to recover from drug and alcohol abuse. Teen boys are treated with respect, dignity and compassion. Stonewater promotes peer support. Stonewater therapists, staff and peers provide the tools needed to understand and manage addiction and improve self- esteem and confidence. I highly recommend Stonewater.

This place is like none other in the country. top clinicians, warm caring environment run by the best family . they are truly committed to each kid and family that comes through the door.

There is no place like Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center in the rest of the country. These guys are the absolute best at what they do, with a wonderful and caring team committed to helping every child and family. Could not recommend more highly.

The founders of Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center have established a recovery center with dedicated clinicians and staff.    They have created a  nurturing oasis that is tailor made to each child with the sole goal of providing a strong foundation for each child's success. The are not only committed to the child, but to the families as well.  Stonewater is like none other in the United States and worthy of your consideration.

I attended stone water when I was 16 and turned 17 while staying there. Most of the staff truly do care. This is definitely one of the best options for adolescent rehab.Forcing a kid to get clean will never work, ultimately it is up to the individual.The “addict” mentality is something I don’t support. Going to AA/NA meeting can be helpful for a support group, yet telling oneself “I am an addict” will only reinforce one to believe they are an addict. Subconsciously the brain will then believe this addict mentality, which could only make it worse.If you’re a parent, give your child a reason for their benefit to quit and motivation for a better future. Using reasoning that only benefits a parent will not work, nor using legal reasons.Also the food was pretty dang good. Special shoutout to Charles for being the best staff member, give that man a raise.

Stonewater (in combination with an after care program for an additional 4 months) greatly contributed to the success of our teenager in addressing his addictions. I can't thank the team at Stonewater enough for their help. I will always be grateful for their efforts.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The treatment our son received at Stonewater was top notch and will stick with him forever. Each staff member will forever hold a special place in our hearts. They went above and beyond in caring for Andrew and for our entire family! Stonewater saved his life and his future is so much brighter. This was a definite game changer for us and for our son! I HIGHLY recommend Stonewater and all that they have to offer!

Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center is family owned and family run... AND, they will treat you like family from the moment you speak to them! At the age of 16, my son ended up on the wrong path in life and found himself needing a high level recovery program that not only could balance out his current situation, but our hope was he would then have the tools to go forward in life as well. This facility is beautiful, the staff is incredible...from the intake coordinators to the therapists, doctors and nurses, the education coordinator, and everyone involved... this place is top notch. We highly recommend Stonewater, as it was exactly what was needed to guide us as a family on to recovery for our son. We are grateful to everyone there and feel blessed to have our son back!
