Robert Burns's Online Review Report Card

How could he say this to me? At first things were going well. When I went in to establish care with Dr. Burns, I arrived about a hour and a half early. I was able to be seen right away and the staff were very nice. I was greeted by Dr. Burns with a big hello. However, as soon as he read over my chart things went off the deep end; fast. The very first thing he said to me was “You have four children. That's four too many...(pause)(silence) if you ask me.”, in a serious tone of voice. Four too many? ....If I ask you? Quick side note; He does not know anything about my martial/relationship status(which really should not matter), financial stability, or physical ability to take care of or give birth to a child. Also, take note that I’m not an extremely young person. Next year I will be 30. My question is why? If I didn't know any better I would say that he's racist and believes that black children should not be brought into this world. "Why?", would have been a good question to ask right then and there. Later during the appointment. He asks if I wanted anymore children. I reply, yes. He then asks, “ Can I talk you out of it? “ This time I did ask him why and he tells me “because they add stress.” I hadn't complained of being stressed at all. Additionally, I was not even treated for the main reason of the visit. He shrugged off my concern as nothing to worry about. Well , my condition got worst. Way worst. I would be wary of him and I will NOT be going back.

I had been seeing this Doctor for many years. As my health over the years declined it became apparent I was too much of a problem. His (Memorial Health) phone system is horrible and it carried over to his staff. He cares more about his staff than his patients. Find another Doctor!

Family practice/ walk ins welcome

I would not recommend this dr for 1 simple fact , the almighty $ is obviously his priority . I needed a good local dr to see and help treat my type 2 diabetes. I am in the va heatlthcare program and use that facility when needed but just wanted a good local dr. Since I do not have regular insurance was told he wouldn't be able to see me . Oh well I guess this dr only cares about big insurance money.After having my records sent over, was told he was not accepting cash payments "at this time"

I scheduled a physical, which my insurance covers at 100%. Unfortunately, the appointment was not billed as a physical and ended being quite costly. I never contacted Dr. Burns about this, but a couple weeks later, I received a message saying that Dr. Burns needed to speak to me. Evidently, he had discovered what happened and informed me that he would be refunding the entire amount. In my opinion, this shows a great deal of integrity and earns Dr. Burns my highest recommendation.

The best Doctor i have ever had. very professional and very caring and concerned.Office visits very prompt and no concern about getting in quickly.Yes i would highly recommend him and his staff.Always knows diagnosis. Would not use another physician as my primary Dr
