List of Margaret Cassada's Reviews
This place is a mixed bag. Dr. Cassada is personable and does well in trying new medication strategies for a difficult problem. A person on staff at the front desk, however, was quite unresponsive when called about an important issue. She did not even refer us to Dr. Cassada's nurse for this, which would be customary. This happened twice. We then asked a psychiatrist several miles away near Jackson (that we had seen before), for an appointment and they got us back in FAST. They were our GodSend at the time. At Dr. Cassada's office, there is presently one counselor hired to augment the doctor, although there had been two. You can only see the counselor (a social worker) once a month or so because of the work load. Dr. Cassada took advice from a past social worker on staff at her word regarding our counseling sessions, and her characterization of 'one party' was quite inaccurate (and puzzling to both of us!) Correct action cannot take place without a correct assessment. We are on track with another counselor closer to home for that portion, and the ship has been righted! In summary, Dr. Cassada is a good doctor to see for psych/meds. We recommend that the staff be more responsive and not act like patients are to be 'seen and not heard.' We are not sure where that 'vibe' originates, however. That is not the way to run a psychiatrist's office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
