One star is a lie this place is awful I don’t understand how people cut up about how animals shelter treats animals and no one care about places like this diversicare of Southaven treat humans animals don’t have any insurance but people care how they are treated but treating our senior citizens worst is sad for diversicare of Southaven and for one of our top city in northern Mississippi to even have a place in this type of condition is sad and any social worker recommended this place to anyone or even has this place in their Rolodex shame on you shame on the city of Southaven Mississippi to allow a place to operate like this so if anyone see this message please notify your alderman and city officials to condemn such an awful place cause maybe one day a social worker may recommend or transfer your family member there and you have to do like me and take my family member out and wait to get there home health started so I blame the social worker at Baptist hospital in Oxford Mississippi for even having such a place in their Rolodex and the city of Southaven Mississippi for having a homeless shelter for a nursing home or rehabilitation facility Diversicare of Southaven Mississippi shame on you just remember when you know people are not being treated right and do nothing to correct it you will have to answer to God for mistreating his people

I wish I had taken pictures of the bruises they put on my poor Mom when she was there in May of 2020. She was paralyzed on one side from a stroke and could barely talk. She was there in the rehab to learn to swallow. I hate the 20 days she was there were torment for her. She was able to tell me how badly she was treated. May God judge each one that mishandled or mistreated my Momma. She died three weeks later but I tried to make her as comfortable as possible and tend to the wounds that were caused from abuse and neglect from this place. I have written a review of exactly what she went through but it has been taken down. Please do not send your loved one to this place unless you can monitor how they are treated and cared for. I gave one star but it’s because I had to in order to write a review.

I will rate them 1 star only because there are some caring people. My wife was in there for a little under two weeks. In that period of time nobody could tell me anything about how my wife was responding to Rehab. All they said was she wouldn't do it. Well I come to find out they were giving her digoxin, a heart medication that slows the heart down and tries to keep it from getting arithmia. When she left Baptist Desoto Hospital she wasn't on that medication. Somebody changed her meds at Diversicare. She went back into the E/R and was in ICU for 5 days. To put it point blank I wouldn't put a sick animal in there.

I love this facility the staff have been.very professional,the food is great but you do need to let them know your needs,and ask for what you need.the physical therapy was a pleasure .

My mother in law passed away after contracting Covid during her stay with Diversicare. DO NOT put your loved ones here during this pandemic! We trusted they would take precautions and unfortunately we lost her due to their failure to do so. She's been with them since Nov 2020 and on Jan 2, 2021 she tested positive for Covid and passed away from it on Jan 17, 2021.That's horrendous but it doesn't stop there. My husband went to pick up her belongings and after he was told the night before that everything was packed up and ready, turns out was a total lie. He had to wait 3 HOURS for them to gather her belongings. They tried to give him only a couple charging cables she had in her isolation room, leaving out ALL of her actual belongings from her room until he demanded her things.To top it all off she had a will that would've been in her possession but they are clueless about that. Plus her debit card, I.D., and important papers she carries everywhere with her miraculously DISAPPEARED. This leaves us with ZERO financial and legal resources in which to carry out her final wishes.I'm sorry but when your negligence causes someone to contract something that kills them could you not at least make sure their belongings are handled properly and you don't impede their final wishes from being taken care of by their family?!?! So we are blindly trying to settle her estate with zero to go on due to their gross incompetence. Shame on you!

My father was there for a few years. It's not a good nursing home. Wish I could give no stars.

Nice staff but overworked second time here. Great np great nurse. Great pcs. Also great food.

This place doesn’t deserve any stars. When my sweet momma n law was in there, I couldn’t get them to brush her teeth. She had all of her original teeth. This is one of the worst nursing homes ever. They only had one good CNA there. She was the only one who truly cared about her patients. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
