Met the doctor. He was nice. I was looking forward to working with him. He ordered an MRI of my brain. I explained that I needed an open MRI or would need to be sedated. Don’t worry, we will send you to an Open MRI provider, he said. He turned me over to his nurse (?) or coordinator (?). They set an appointment for a follow up with the doctor 4 weeks out. I questioned that…”will I be able to schedule the MRI that quickly?”. Yes, the assured me, they would call the provider and make sure that I was scheduled in quickly. I leave the office with the MRI order. I call the provider and they do NOT offer open MRIs. I go to the physician’s portal and I send them a message about the provider not providing open MRIs. Three days go by, I don’t get a reply. I call the office and leave a message for his coordinator. I don’t get a reply. (By the way, it’s been months and months now and I’ve NEVER gotten a reply on either channel). So, the day of the follow up appointment rolls around. They send me a confirmation notice. I call them to tell them that I won’t be coming in because my MRI has not been completed. The woman on the phone says, “oh, the office is closed, you will need to call back in the morning”, to which I replied “I. AM. NOT. DOING. THAT. You have wasted WAY too much of my time already. I am telling YOU that I will not be in because my MRI has not been scheduled and I’m still WAITING for the office to refer me to the correct provider. Please pass along that message”. So, the time of the appointment comes and the office leaves me a message asking if I am coming and reminding me of the cancelation policy. So…I guess the agent didn’t pass along my message after all. Look, avoid this place like the plague if you value your time at all. They will waste it, waste it, waste it.

My initial appointment with Dr. Jacob was Monday, August 21, 2017. The office looked like a free clinic rather than the professional offices of multiple neurologists. Thirty minutes past my appointment time I was told that it would be at least another half hour until I was taken to an exam room and that there were only 2 doctors who were seeing lots of new patients that day. Typical overbooking with no regard for the patient's time. I cancelled my appointment. I'll see someone else.
