Not an enjoyable experience; this place stacks their appointments so much that the doctors barely have time to talk to you or answer your questions. My appointment took 2+ hours, my diagnosis was a retinal detachment that would need surgery ASAP. The doctor said he would give me a pamphlet, which I never got nor did he take 5 minutes to talk to me. It was a very scary diagnosis to receive and then to be just shuttled out of their office with no answers. The surgeon's secretary called me the next day angry that I wasn't at their office, supposedly I was supposed to be there first thing in the morning, just another thing this Medical Eye Specialist didn't communicate to me. This was my 2nd appointment with them and both appointment were the same way long wait, then rushed with doctors and no time to talk to the doctors. For what they charge it would be nice if you actually got time to talk with the doctor during your appointment.

I'm 70, really, really lousy eyes since birth. Dr. McInnis is doing the cataract surgery. At this writing one eye has been done, yesterday. Here's what you should know: (1) He and others at his practice return calls promptly, answer questions thoroughly, explains carefully. I was impressed by both him and Medical Eye Specialists well before the surgery date -- a friendly, competent bunch that offered just the help needed to decide which lenses to get and more. 2. The surgery went flawlessly. Zero pain, quick. Better than even my high hopes. 3. Progress is amazing: Day 2, great vision, great post-op follow-up, huge correction, the largest that one of the opticians next door said he'd seen in his 15 years of work. It's really sort of amazing: besides the cataract in that eye gone, so is the huge stigmatism. I'm looking forward to next week's second eye work. So far, the entire experience could not have gone better. I could not be more impressed...and this is pretty important stuff.
