I have been have terrible pain since my surgery and he is not willing to figure out why. I waited 1 1/2 hours to see him for 2 minutes, wasn't allowed to ask any questions or get any help. My life has been ruined by this surgery and I have no where to turn for help!

The doctor does not provide good follow up care and does not address problems following surgery. No compassion or concern for well being. Waited 1 1/2 to see him for 2 minutes,didn't get to ask any questions and my problem was not resolved. I'm in terrible pain with no help. Nurse is rude and condescending.

Does not take the time to listen to you about concerns you have after surgery...terrible follow up. Shows no compassion or concern for patients. Nurse is very rude and condescending.

Excellent physician. Dr. Mortenson is very thorough and explains options completely. He speaks quickly, but does not hesitate to answer any questions. His recommendations and surgical treatments seem, to me, to offer the least invasive solution to the problem, and he makes certain that family members understand the results of surgery even before the patient has awakened. I chose Dr. Mortenson based on recommendations I received from others, and I was not the least disappointed in his care.

My son sustained a very serious traumatic injury to his liver while snowboarding. Dr. Mortenson was his attending doc while my son was in ICU. Dr. Mortenson gave my son careful and excellent attention. He answered my questions thoroughly and was able to help my son “out of the woods” without any invasive surgery. Dr Morteson is a very good physician, who knows his stuff and isn’t pious like many docs can be. Go to him! You’ll be glad you did, and your body will thank you!!

Not at all impressed. Not interested in finding/diagnosing my problem(s). I felt like I was being talked AT, instead of spoken TO. Although this individual MIGHT be a good surgeon, he leaves a LOT to be desired as a Doctor, when dealing with patients.

Dr. Mortenson has performed surgery on me several times (breast biopsies then mastectomy) and has always been very helpful, offering thorough explanations and information. He is a busy surgeon but still makes each patient feel important. A highly skilled and competent surgeon!
