David Goodwin's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Goodwin has been my ortho doctor for almost 6-years. He is an extremely attentive & caring doctor who has allowed me to continue my athletic lifestyle. He has always been very honest about my limitations but still positive and encouraging. His availability is always excellent & he has always returned my calls no matter how busy his schedule. The PRP treatments I received has improved my quality-of-life immensely & allowed me to regain my cardio fitness despite my bad knees. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Goodwin!

I love Dr. Goodwin. You can't find a more intelligent, caring, compassionate, skilled doctor than Dr. Goodwin! Even though his office isn't near where I live, I'm willing to travel just to see him. I trust any and all family members in his care (from youngest to oldest)

I was having problems with my thigh and hip joint. I was always experiencing pain and discomfort, when walking and climbing up and down the steps. Dr. David Goodwin, MD performed a hip bursectomy on me. Dr. Goodwin seems very knowledgeable. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure. He made me feel comfortable, the day of the surgery. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Excellent Diagnostician - I have had back pain, sciatica and hip pain that has become debilitating. I have seen several doctors, who all recommend their own specialty. The hip surgeon recommends a new hip. The DPT recommends Physical Therapy. The back surgeon recommends back surgery, etc. I never got a clear diagnosis of the root cause that I trusted as a result. In one visit, Dr. Goodwin did X-Rays and a physical exam. I still need an MRI, to finish the diagnosis. But he ruled out my hip, said the SI joint is an expression of the real problem, which is in my lumbar spine. It can be treated without surgery, mainly by changing my workout in specific ways and maybe a cortisone injection. He did not recommend his own services, as everyone else had done.

Dr.Goodwin operated on my shoulder and arm repairing 3 breaks to my shoulder and one to my humerus. Two trauma surgeons said they could only repair my shoulder replacing it with an artificial shoulder but Dr. Goodwin repaired it without. It’s been over two years and my arm and shoulder are strong with full function with no pain or discomfort. The entire staff was so accommodating, sympathetic and compassionate through the entire process. I‘ve recommended Dr. Goodwin to so many others and will continue to do so. He saved my arm in a way others said they couldn’t.

Dr. Goodwin is a tremendous physician and overall health counselor -- I had a complete shoulder reconstruction with him and he was patient and kind and understanding throughout. Both pre and post surgical he offered encouragement as well as outstanding PT assessment and support. He is also great with children of all ages -- I could not recommend him more highly.

Dr. Goodwin is an excellent Orthopedist. He provided accurate diagnoses for me and gave me effective solutions that fixed an orthopedic issue. I drive 1 hour to see him. I will continue to make the drive to see him for any orthopedic issues.

I recently had a hip arthroscopy surgery completed but Dr. Goodwin. My experience with him and his staff has been wonderful. Dr. Goodwin anticipated and answered all of my questions. He has a great bedside manner and personally reached out to me following my surgery to check on my recovery. I hope I never have to, but I would seek Dr. Goodwin out for any other hip/joint issues.

Dr Goodwin diagnosed our daughters minor injury and treatment correctly but as a safety precaution did bloodwork which identified elevated autoimmune activity by 10%. He immediately washed his hands of us and refused to have any further dialogue. After wasting over a month worrying until the rhuem could see her, we were told that 10% elevation is normal and that 400% is when you can be concerned. His mistake cost a little girl 4 months of pain.

Dr. David Goodwin provided the best medical experience I have had in years. I recently tore my meniscus, re-injuring a tear that another doctor repaired 8 years ago. It took only 8 days from my first appointment with Dr. Goodwin to having surgery to fix it - something that took over 9 months last time. Most importantly, the care I have received throughout has been exceptional. Dr. Goodwin took time to know me, my activity levels, and my goals, and is helping me to maintain my active lifestyle.
