This doctor operated on me in 2020 and made so many mistakes. Firstly, he noted I had advanced staged endometriosis but there was nothing left he could do, when in fact he had done ablation surgery on what disease he could reach (outdated and ineffective-excision surgery is the standard for endo) and then left a ton he simply couldn’t reach because he is not skilled enough. Now, if he had told me the diagnosis and that I needed a specialist, that would have been fine since he is not claiming to be a specialist, but he simply said he’d done everything that could be done and pushed an IUD. I also had complications from surgery and when I called him in significant physical distress he was clearly scared and escalated in his volume and tone to me. I asked him not to yell at me and he did calm down, but put me through more invasive tests in the ER before prescribing what I had requested. Lastly, when I did have surgery with a specialist out of state, not only was there EXTENSIVE disease left, but my ovary was left “splayed open and in the wrong spot” according to the specialist, who credited my last surgeon…Dr K. Please , if you need an exploratory lap or any surgery, go to a specialist, not a generalist with little expertise.
Dr. Kasavana put me through unnecessary emotional, physical, and financial stress because of an issue stemming with what he originally believed to be a polyp in my uterus. Following surgery, he did not find a polyp and had perforated my uterus during a routine tubal dye study. After not discovering a polyp during surgery, he concluded that I had a septum dividing my uterus. He stated that I could not and should not try and conceive as a miscarriage would be likely with this septum. He ordered an MRI to measure the thickness of the septum. MRI results showed no indication of a uterine septum. He explained that this is likely because the spectrum is “extremely thin” and suggested I schedule a hysteroscopic metroplasty surgery to remove the septum. Luckily this is when we decided to get a second opinion with a new, reputable fertility specialist. After explaining the situation to our new fertility specialist, she stated that it was “uncommon” for a surgeon to perforate a uterus during
Dr. Kasavana was my daughter's OB and remains her doctor. He was the most supportive, thorough and trustworthy medical professional I have ever seen. He delivered my granddaughter and took great care of her mama. I am grateful my daughter found him!
There is no perfect way to explain how incredible this doctor is. He wasn't my wife's OB prior to her being in labor and we had never seen him before. He had come to see my wife as a result of being the on-call OB at NV Hospital. My daughter's heart rate had dropped and he wasted no time rushing my wife into OR for an emergency C section. Given the seriousness and traumatic situation, I can't recall how fast or slow everything happened. Anyway, I was told after the surgery that from the time he decided on bringing my wife to the OR (in our delivery room) until the time he pulled my daughter out to safety, it was ~7 minutes. The entire hospital staff (including those nurses and Dr. Miller) and Dr. Kasavana saved my daughter from possible brain damage, health issues, and maybe even saved her life. We are so fortunate for Dr. Kasavana and so is everyone under his care.

Dr. Kasavana is the best hands down. After 3 miscarriage he made sure to explain everything with my 4th pregnancy. He even personally called to check on me. I had many complications and I believe he is the main reason my daughter is here today!!!
Dr. Kasavana was able to explain what was going on with my body as well as put my mind at easy after dealing with a miscarriage. He has a very well 'bedside' manner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
