List of Jose De Souza's Reviews
With Dr DeSouza I know where I am with my Diabetes. I know what he expects out of me to get where I need to be. He always checks my feet, listens to my heart, and asks me questions. What I love about Dr is he is very up front but very caring. I know he has my best interest. I would recommend him always.
He listens to his patients, went to him when my primary care physician didn't. He is direct, doesn't hurry through an appointment, and treats you with respect.
I am beyond disappointed. If your patient requests a complete thyroid panel test and you only test 2 things (!!), how is that in any way helpful?? Patients have a right to have their questions answered and requests followed. Not a good doctor.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Rude, Arrogant, Dismissive, Pessimistic, Sexist, and honestly not a good doctor at all. I used to see him for Type 1 Diabetes management. Honestly after every appointment I was left feeling like he had never even TRIED to learn about Type1 Diabetes. Also: if you are a doctor you really shouldn’t yell (Yes, actual yelling) at a patient because of issues that aren’t even related to their condition.
Good doctor and nurse.
Apathetic, condescending and indifferent Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviewer about these doctors not running the right tests. I saw Dr. Schneider and it didn't go well. I have thyroid disease and at first I had hope when I first met her that she was going to be alright I have never had any luck with endo's treating thyroid appropriately. Unfortunately, as the other reviewer stated she didn't run the right thyroid tests and goes by TSH only which is a Pituitary hormone and not a function of thyroid hormone at all, nor does it tell you what the thyroid hormone in your body is actually doing. Is it going in the cell or not? Doctors like these who don't run the right tests end up making patients sick and keeping patients sick. Find yourself a naturopath who will run the right tests or a functional medicine / internal medicine doctor who knows what they are doing. Avoid this office. I was also having a problem with increased cortisol and I mentioned that to her and to please check me. She only checked cortisol am and acth and that's not how you diagnose high cortisol you have to run a 24hr urine cortisol test and suppressed acth test in order to diagnose high cortisol and plasma cortisol at night which I already had that was high. Apparently, she can't test right for that either. Avoid this office.
Dr. De Souza is a very good doctor. He has a great sense of humor. He has been helpful in dealing with my health.
I would highly recommend Dr. DeSouza. I have had Diabetes Type 2 since 2008. No physician with whom I treated could ever get my blood sugar down. Dr. DeSouza listened to me and my concerns. He prescribed an affordable course of treatment (I had no insurance) and I followed his advice. My A1C went from 9.5 when I first saw him to 6.3 three months later. He continues to treat me. He diagnosed a parathyroid problem and referred me to a surgeon who also was excellent. Dr. DeSouza is an extraordinary physician.
Dr. de Souza is very knowledgeable. My condition was somewhat rare but he was quite familiar with it and how to treat it successfully. He is prompt and to the point. He has a wonderful sense of humor that puts you at ease. I actually look forward to my appointments with him.
Dr. DeSouza has been my provider for my diabetes for over two years. He is very thorough in obtaining histories and physicals every appointment. I appreciate his sense of humor and how he can encourage patient participation to better control my diabetes. I appreciate his "to the point" patient care. I wish all of my providers were like him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
