I have been seeing Dr. Thomas for years because I trust him 100%. He has awesome bed side matters, and explains everything very well. I drive all the way from Ocean Shores, Wash just to have him do my surgeries if needed, and to take care of any other medical concerns I have. Thank you Dr. Thomas for being so kind and patient. Your the best! Shari
He takes time with me and has a conservative approach to cancer treatment. He answers questions thoroughly and repeats or rephrases the answer to help me understand. He is straight forward and tells it like it is. He is concerned with my quality of life. He has been treating my metastatic breast cancer for almost 6 years and I trust his counsel and know he has my treatment well in hand.
Dr thomas is excellent, his staff is not.I am not allowed to schedule an appointment because. the billing dept. says I owe a co- pay from over a year ago? huh? is this even legal.I have always paid every co-pay.the kady in billing was extremely rude.Puget Sound Orthopedics should be embarrassed .John Lawrence
Forgetting I have already seen this doctor in the past . I had made another appointment years later, for carpal tunnel . If I would have remember him I would not have seen him again , 1st time was for a cortisone shot for heal spurs after a painful shot in the bottom of my heel I learned later that shot does not go in the bottom it goes in the side, turns out arch supports cleared the problem up. So forgetting his name I went back again , this time I remembered his judgmental attitude . Doctors should continue to tell there patients to eat better, drink less alcohol and quit smoking ,after highly insulting me, that I should pray to god to quit smoking, he said he operates on smokers anyways. well not me he wont ! the orthopedic doctors in this location are surgery happy and all are jaded and rude about just why patients are there, just read the many , many rules and warnings plastered threw out there office . I have met another doctor there once when I took a friend, his name is not to even be mentioned in a 80 year old friends house ever. his name is tiny big blow hearts as well. I think a majority of there patients are LI ,SSI , Seniors ,accident claims ect. Not all are drug addicts, bums, people milking the system or frauds. As Tiny said to me as he was getting ready to cut open my friends knee nobody! should be on disability everyone should work. very broad statement , these surgery chasseing idiots should pray and get another line of work . its know wonder why there front staff are rude, I'm guessing its a hostile work environment, with small man syndrome with big inflated god like egos . negative star for them.
After seeing another doctor for a work related injury for a month and not being satisfied, I transferred my care to DR. Alan Thomas. This was the best decision that I ever made. He talked with me about the best approach for my fractured forearm and provided me with options. He listened to my concerns and addressed each of them. He took the time needed to make sure that I felt that he really cared about my injury and full recovery. We opted for surgery due to the severity of the fracture. The surgery went as anticipated and I feel that I will make a full recovery, thanks to DR Thomas' wonderful skills as a surgeon. There has also been great post surgery follow-up. He made sure that all my questions and concerns after surgery were fully addressed to my full satisfaction. Also, the Puget Sound Orthopaedics facility and the support personnel are wonderful. They were very considerate and professional.
Dr Alan Thomas screwed my arm up worse then it already was. He hit a blood vessel on my second surgery. Bad part was, I was in the worst pain of my life. I called doctor Thomas his nurse got a message to him and he called me as soon as he could. so about 3 hours after my surgery I'm told by Dr Allen Thomas, "take another pill or two, whats the worst that could happen? You overdose?" His exact words. Thank God I had someone there with me who rushed me to the er against Dr Thomas advice. I believe he would have let me bleed to death. After that he promised to take care of me, pushed me off onto another Dr and said I could come back if I wasnt happy with that dr. I told him I was unhappy and gis nurse got bacj to me and said Dr Thomas said he couldnt help me. He will say anything necessary to make you believe, then leave you screwed up and in pain. In my opinion... Hes a bad surgeon.
the office is very unorganized you wait a long time to be seen and no one keeps you up to date if the doctor is running behind.. Dr.Thomas is not very understanding and is abrupt and hurried. I could hear him talking about a patient who was coming in to see him and the nurses comments were very negative, I would guess the patient could hear the conversation if I could. he may be good at what he does but would choose another office in the future
Dr. Thomas is wonderful. Not only is is he a good surgeon, he cares and lets you know he cares. He answers your questions thoroughly takes time with you. He is usually late but it when it is your turn, you are the only one on his mind. He is great. He specializes in hand surgery. Mine was very successful. My physical therapists both before and after the surgery "love him".

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
