Saw this dermatologist to get a prescription refill of an acne med I’ve been taking for 10 years. She said one of my moles looked suspicious and removed it on the spot, not informing me that it would cost $400 to remove. Lab work came back negative- no cancer, not a dangerous mole. Had issues with them filling my prescription too because they weren’t receiving the bloodwork from the lab they sent me to. Then 6 months later they refuse to refill my acne prescription without a follow up appointment. I ask “why can’t this just be the bloodwork” to which they had no good answer other than office protocol aka NOT to my medical benefit. I’m not paying another $250 for an unnecessary follow up for a medication they can see in my records I’ve been on without issue for 10 years. Not going back!
Never schedule with her. I saw her for years, and my issue (hormonal acne) was never resolved. I spent thousands of dollars over the years (with insurance) for her to gaslight me into believing the persisting issue was my fault. She is so argumentative and mean spirited. I cried in my car after one appointment where she spent the majority of our appt. berating me about birth control and trying to bully me into switching to a new method or forgoing it altogether. (I had the arm implant BC, and she told me it wasn’t a reliable method because I could lose my arm in a freak accident - ??? absolutely bizarre). To no one’s surprise, my acne immediately disappeared when I transferred care to another derm in Missoula! Turns out, my acne was not my fault, nor my birth control’s. Rather, Dr. Kutsch’s negligence and inability to listen to her patients was to blame.
I saw Dr. Kutsch for a referral related to a skin lession. She was the most condescending medical professional I have ever seen. She told me to be quiet when I tried to tell her a few things and acted as if I were a big imposition to her day. I left feeling belittled and angry. I would not recommend her to anyone unless they like being put down.
I went to see Dr. Kutsch for a cancer check...when she found out I had another issue (one that would pay more), she completely brought the appt. to a close and had her people book the surgery. She never did the cancer check and said I would have to make another appt. I couldn't believe just how un-professional she was. I will never return and will warn others about her.
Excellent office efficiency. Thorough exam, very friendly and welcoming. Have been going for annual skin check every year for over 5 years. She has discovered several pre-cancer spots and all is well. Very happy with her care.
This was hands down the worst doctors appointment I've been to. Dr.Kutsch was immediately judgmental from the beginning of my appointment. This made me feel really uncomfortable and unprofessional. I felt like I had no time to ask questions. I will never go back to this doctor. She never made eye contact with me and was rushed to get in and out of the door. I though that her exam was rushed and she ...
After all was said & done, I wondered why I had gone at all. I have had 2 appointments, about 10 minutes each. At both appointments she was abrupt & impatient—certainly not good with patients. She was rushed. It was a listen & not be heard situation. I asked her about something else, but she said a separate appointment would have to be made. I will start over with another dermatologist.

Dr. Kutsch took over the practice (at least the same room/location) as our prior dermatologist, Dr. Mark Stewart, who was exceptional, an excellent doctor. I worked in the medical field for almost twenty years in two hospital ERs, two ORs, and retired as an RN in the VA healthcare system. I have worked with great doctors, like Dr. Stewart, and poor ones as well. Dr. Kutsch was not friendly or personable during the first visits made by my wife and myself. We never felt comfortable with her on our following visits, but her "bedside manner" did improve. We terminated our contact with her after she had removed several skin tags from my wife, but refused to do so for me. I had a very small one that was irritated by my shirt collar, but she insisted I would have to pay separately, in spite of not having done so with my wife. A two-second spray of liquid nitrogen would have removed it, but she refused. On that last visit, when she refused for the second time, she said she needed to remove two flat, smooth nevi from my chest. I didn't see which ones she was referring to, but made the mistake of allowing her to do so. After getting home, I saw that one of the ones she removed was a nevus that had not changed in 49 years, and which several doctors - including Dr. Stewart - said was not a problem and did _not_ need to be removed. It is obvious to me that she knew I would not be returning and decided to remove the two nevi simply for the money, for what she could charge my insurance. I could not, in good conscience, recommend her to anyone, nor will I ever.
Prompt service, courteous, professional staff. Very caring treatment

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
