Did both my hips-- replacements. Excellent Dr in all respects. Initial visit, clear explanations, surgery went perfect, great followup. Kind and caring.
Dr Whiting was able to do a Third total knee on the same knee when I was told it couldn’t be done. After consulting with the University of Washington he successfully has me walking again. Kathy ogren
After a long process because of him I finally will have pain relief.
I had an excellent experience with a total knee replacement done by Dr. Daniel Whiting, from diagnosis through recovery.
Dr Daniel Whiting did my hip Oct 11, 2018 and it was not painful. Was so surprised as thought it would be very painful and half to do a lot of rehap. Had exercise to do but am doing great. Highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Whiting. Crystal Hart
I met with Dr Whiting for a consultation for a right knee replacement procedure. I was impressed with the time and effort that he put in explaining my problems and what needed to be done to correct the situation. I am working on getting things set up for hopefully soon.
I had a total knee replacement january 16 th 2018 and I wanted to wait awhile before I wrote a review to make sure it was healed and know complication cropped up and it is now 9 mos later and it has healed beautifully and he did a great job on my knee. I highly recommend him as I had great results and I am sure you will be satisfied as well.thank you dr whiting c deshore
I wish Dr. Whiting had become my orthopedist seven months ago; it would have saved me much grief, pain, time and false starts. Saw him this month for an ongoing hip problem. He took the time necessary to talk with me. He listened. He answered my questions with cogent responses rather than non sequiturs designed to make me go away ("give it more time" "you haven't done enough PT"). He suggested a non-aggressive treatment which we are trying. It was something I had not heard of from any of the other five orthopedists I have seen about this problem. He is very knowledgeable, nice, and outstanding at communicating.
Dr. Daniel Whiting replaced my left hip six weeks ago and at the same time eliminated a limp that I had since I was 10 years old as a result of scoliosis. I am so happy with the results and highly recommend Dr. Whiting as an orthopedic surgeon. Because Dr. Whiting used a direct anterior incision instead of cutting through the butt muscles to access the hip joint, my recovery was much quicker and I had less risk of dislocation. (My husband had both hips replaced several years ago using the posterior incision approach and his recovery was much longer and his movement was more restricted following surgery.) Contact Dr. Whiting at Northern Rockies Orthopedic in Missoula - you’ll be glad you did!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
