Five Valleys Urology's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr. Wicher three times over the last 18 months or so. I have found him to be very easy to talk to and friendly. He asks great questions, listens to my answers and gives very thorough explanations. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Wicher!

My husband and I met Dr. Karl Westenfelder this week. He was professional and courteous and gracious. I had tears because it made me so happy to see my husband treated with respect. I highly recommend Five Valleys Urology. The woman who scheduled our appointment was also great.

It’s odd to refer to yourself as “Kidney Stone King”...speaks for who he is & how he sees himself...SAD. For him. & his “patients” Disappointed beyond words. KIDNEY STONE KING...sure....

The staff were very helpful. Theresa went out of her way to accommodate my schedule, finding me appointment space the very next day. I live in another city and Theresa was very patient giving me directions several times when I became lost, even coming outside to wave me in. Dr. Kronner explained the examination thoroughly and put me at my ease. My entire appointment took only 30-minutes, including waiting time. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Had an ESWL by Dr. Westenfeld three years ago. Treated well, and felt all my questions and concerns were answered. Problem resolved. Have kidney stones again and was seen by Mr. Weisman, PA. He spent about 5 minutes with me, sent me home with an order for a CT Scan and suggested I take Tylenol. Later that day, he called after he'd seen the CT scan, which showed multiple stones on both sides, both in kidney and ureters. Said chances are I'd need another procedure with a stent this time. He called in stronger pain meds and Flomax, Asked that I get a KUB x-ray and reschedule another appointment, which was today. Again, he spent less than 5 minutes with me. I will never go there again. I went and saw Richard Weisemann for a follow-up ER visit when I was dealing with a very painful and sensitive bout of epididimitis. He spent approximately five minutes with me in the exam room, was rude, would not let me ask questions, and was very belittling with his "bedside manner." Keep in mind, I was standing in front if this individual with my pants around my knees, exposed for all the world to see.

Dad saw Wicher, no bed side manner. Rude, know it all. Would not recommend.

Dr. Kroner was wonderful. However when we needed our short term disability paperwork completed, it was an absolute nightmare with the front office staff. I wonder if any of the people that work in the front office could go two weeks without any financial income? Our paperwork was held up and there was no sense of urgency to get it completed. Might I add it was a half page form that couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes to fill out. We are still waiting on our claim and my husband is still out of work from his procedure. We were lied to and passed around from person to person. I work in administration for a medical office that fills out similar forms every day. I do everything in my power to help the patient as I understand TIME IS MONEY. I do not believe we were treated fairly. We will not be recommending Five Valley Urology to any of our friends or family.

I'll start with the good part. Doctor Kroner was great. My procedure was fast and easy. When I gave the office my short term disability paperwork to be filled out and returned that's when the difficulties started. I began calling when I hadn't heard anything back and the office staff initially told me they'd call me back when the paperwork was filled out. When I wasn't getting a call back I followed up and was told that all paperwork is done at the end of the day although it had already been more than a day at that time.
