Doctor Willstein is a fantastic surgeon. He saw me last year and diagnosed my ongoing shoulder pains as my right shoulder had a torn Rotator cuff tear, lots of arthritis, moved the biceps and fixed my carpal tunnel hand that seemed to be always asleep! What a laundry list of stuff to fix on just my right side. He explained that my left shoulder was in need of replacement, period. We decided to wait until October to do the right shoulder, which went very well in the surgical center on campus. The care there was over the top, and I endured my physical therapy in Stevensville, (which is another story of success as well) That went so very well that my left shoulder replacement was scheduled for the first of January of this year and wow, another awesome surgery and recovery with expert PT again in Stevensville at Physical Therapy and Aquatic therapy. My wife Barbara of course was my primary nurse and I could not have recovered as well without her assistance and love. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gary and the Missoula Bone and joint crew.

This was my first surgery and so I was really nervous but the nurses and Dr Willstein were really good about calming my nerves. Everyone here was super nice and caring and never once made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. They even called the day after my surgery to check up on me which I thought was really cool. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

I don't usually write reviews, but Dr. Willstein is so good at what he does that I couldn't help myself. Five months ago, I broke my femur, and I thought for sure I would never walk again, but Dr. Willstein did a wonderful job of patching me up and today I have lasting effect from that break. I have been told he is the best, and now I would like to add my name to the others who think if you find yourself in a situation like mine, please call him first.

My family and I have seen Dr. Willstein for numerous physical difficulties over the past two decades. Every experience has been pleasant and successful. He is so caring and patient in answering questions that even the most anxious patient is sure to feel at ease. I know I never worried about the outcome of any surgery, nor did I ever feel anything less than important. My knees are like new and have changed my ability to enjoy life as it should be enjoyed. Thanks, Dr. Willstein, for making life worth living again.

Dr. Willstein and his highly professional team performed my knee replacement surgery five months ago and it went very smoothly. This is especially important as my surgery and stay at the MBJ surgery center occurred in midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has made a really big difference in my mobility and activity. He is the consummate professional.

Dr. Willstein proved to be a superb choice for my hip replacement. Not only has the 4 months since the surgery been better than expected, but the two appointments afterwards clarified that he has a genuinely significant interest in his patient's progress. He was sincerely interested in promoting me to ask questions and clearly explained the answers.

I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Willstein. The hip replacement surgery went well and the recovery has been fast. I've now had both hips replaced by Dr. Willstein.

Dr. Willstein is a professional of the highest degree. He is most courteous and kind in his bedside approach. His skills as a surgeon are the best!! Excellent outcome after my Total reverse shoulder surgery. I would always recommend him as a great Doctor!!!!

I've had Dr. Willstein perform two knee replacements and repair a completely torn bicep. He's always performed surgery so well that I get 100% mobility and strength back. HIs bedside manner is gentle and kind and I also highly recommend his P.A. Wade Hudson.
