List of Julia Bell Md's Reviews
This Dr is a therapist treating cancer patients and the devastating effects of this kind of diagnosis. When I met with her she kept her back to me, stared at her computer and filled out her report - asking me questions in a cold, unfeeling manner. I felt like I needed to be paid instead of her. I was so bored I actually pulled out my tablet which I would NEVER do at a Dr visit. I decided to just never go back. In the end, the bill was entered wrong -- they won't fix it and sent it to collections. It's a horrible irony I paid for 'psychotherapy' when there was nothing remotely like that that occured that day. Cancer is such a horrible beast - you don't need this type of unprofessional encounter on top of it all. I recommend the Cancer Center - love them, but not this Dr.
I saw Dr Bell 2 times after a cancer diagnosis. She was very poor at focusing on the patient, sat at her computer with her back to me and just filled out a report. I felt like I was helping her do her paperwork for the day and left feeling like I should have been paid for the session. She was unfeeling, uninterested -. I ended up getting billed incorrectly - a bill her office will not resolve. It's ironic that I got billed for 'psychotherapy' when there was nothing remotely like that that occurred that day. Cancer is a horrible experience and I thought it might be good to talk with a professional about it - but she is not the person to do that with.
Got a referral from my doctor on the 14th of January, apparently this referral was "sent back" for some reason to my GP at Community Physicians Center. I waited on a phone call for 2 months because I was told they were busy. Upon calling them, they directed me to Community, who directed me back to them. They then took another 2 weeks to set up an appointment (for this month June 11th) and I asked at the time if they could give me a call because my insurance was changing and I needed to know if it was covered. They called me late last week (June 7th) to tell me that my insurance wasn't current and said there were no notes on my account. They then told me that the testing would cost $1000 because of my deductible, so without being able to budget for this amount in advance, I was unable to attend my scheduled visit and had to cancel after waiting almost 6 months for help. If I was not of sound mind (like many of their patients I am sure are not) I would never have been able to get the help I needed, and I still was not able to do so because of their incompetence and lack of any sort of effort or courtesy. I would say I do not recommend this facility but they are one of the only ones in town. They are a terrible office and it shows how bad mental healthcare is in Missoula.
Assembly-line feel to the care here -- Slap on a diagnosis and some drugs, then out the door. Office policy, especially regarding cancellations, is harsh, considering the types of difficulties the patients going there experience. The front office staff is rude and condescending. When running a professional office, reprimanding patients like school children is unacceptable. Will be seeking care elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
