List of Larry Stayner Md's Reviews
Long story short I asked doctor stayner repeatedly not to touch a bicep tendon he cut the tendon I asked him not to now I have issues curling anything over 8 to 10 lb. When I asked him if he touched my bicep tendon he said yes then I said I asked you not to do that. He then told me that he don't remember me ever saying that. I have prove I told him. Now I need another surgery to undo what he did.
I had a difficult rotator cuff tear and couldn’t lift my arm and had almost continous pain. Dr Stayner did the repair and together with rehab with AXIS physical therapy my shoulder is in great shape. I have recommended Dr Stayner to a number of people.
WASTE OF TIME AND NO MEDICAL TREATMENT. 5 &1/2 weeks to get a first appointment for knee injury, multiple extremely long hold times on phone calls (some as long as 40 minutes), on the day of the appointment kept me waiting 50 minutes after the scheduled time (actually left the office before I saw the PA Michela Westhoff as I was left in a treatment room and no body ever came in). Front office and nurses had extremely bad attitudes and simply didn't seem like they cared at all. What a waste of time. In contrast, made an appointment at Bridger Orthopedics in Bozeman, got in after 3 days, appointment was on time, people where very friendly and scheduled an MRI within a week. Worth the drive to Bozeman. Northern Rockies Orthopaedics = waste of time with NO resolution to my medical issue. Go elsewhere and save your time and get better service.
Dr. Stayner, from first exam through total should joint replacement to follow up (including his staff) is five star quality on all fronts.
Dr. Telleria recently surgically repaired by torn achilles tendon and corrected a Haglunds deformity. Most importantly, the outcome of the surgery was excellent. It could not have went any better. Dr. Telleria is a highly skilled foot/ankle surgeon. She was thorough, professional, spent a lot of time answering all my questions. The entire staff was great, the PA, billing, scheduling. I highly recommend Dr. Telleria!
I've never witnessed such a disorganized and incompetant medical office. What should have been a fairly simple and routine ordeal has left my 18-year-old son with the inability to walk. Five weeks after his surgery, he had a fall that bent the surgical knee all the way back, where all 240 lbs of his weight sat on that bent knee. I immediately call their office. Im informed both his doctor and his nurse practitioner are on vacation AT THE SAME TIME. They said id have to take him to the emergency room. The ER, of course, informed him that the Er is not the place to address this and he needs to see his doctor. They said his doctor had other providers in the office....but northern rocky said he could not see another provider, that it had to be his surgeon, but his surgeon was gone. I spent the next week with my son regularly sobbing because of the pain. Rocky mountain did not care and refused to offer any solutions. Its now been three months and my son still can't walk. I've been trying to reach out to their office manager, Mary, who doesn't return calls and is literally never available. I kick myself every day for putting my son in their care, and worry that this injury will affect him the rest of his life from lack of care. I do not recommend this medical facility...the right hand never seems to know what the left hand is doing, nor do they care to remedy that
Dr. Stayner is my hero. I had been misdiagnosed for shoulder problems for years. He took one look at the MRI I brought with me and had a diagnosis. After a shoulder replacement, I am pain free for the first time in many, many years. Susan Schwecke
He did a knee replacement for me. Followed up with P.T. Three times because it kept hurting and popping. He didn’t follow through to correct the problem. I went to Missoula Bone & Joint and had it replaced again. They were the best! I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Stayner because he wouldn’t follow through to make sure my knee was NOT fixed the first time. He didn’t seem to care or believe what I was telling him. It only took one X-ray to see the problem!
Dr stayner practically brings me to tears. He is just so caring and kind. Very helpful, and has worked with my husband several times with his shoulder injury. I will always have a special spot for him in my heart. We are lucky to have him in missoula.
I can’t say enough good about Dr. Stayner and his assistant Macayla...(spelling? Sorry if that’s not right). I was in excruciating pain from my shoulder being messed up. They were very thorough in their evaluation and the surgery only took about 45 minutes. I’ve not had a single moment of pain or any movement limitations since the surgery. I can’t thank Dr Stayner enough. Just as a side note, Dr Stayner is the team surgeon for the Montana Grizzlies and to be in a position like that you had better know what you’re doing and be the best at it. That’s actually what made me choose to have my operation done by him. I know a lot of people with problems like mine and I always recommend that they go see him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
