List of Lennard Wilson Md's Reviews
Dr Wilson has long had a reputation for, and many legal troubles with properly diagnosing and Treating children. His history of practice in the late 80’s and 90’s is packed tight with over perscribing, testing ( without concent ) experimental drugs on toddlers and infants. Some as young as 2 years old. He finds vulnerable desperate parents willing to try anything and victimizes families with medications such as, Ridellan, nortriptyline, trazodone and imipramine. All at once all prescribed to the same child. These children grew to be rejected by families and dumped into foster homes and respite care centers. Some have been institutionalized and others have developed such intense mental illness that many of them have become addicts or commit suicide. Dr. Wilson is very arrogant and believes that the law will not find him and that he will not be held accountable for this. So he continues to abuse children and families for personal gain. Consider this a warning from a former patient who has spent their entire life, trying to undo the cognitive, emotional and parent/child-relationship damage this man did with his experimental pills. I will have to it for the rest of my life.
arrogant!!
I saw Dr. Wilson years ago for migraines. He had genuine empathy and concern for me. I saw someone rated him poorly so felt the need to get in here and give credit where credit is due. I remember him well - he explained why it was happening, and reassured me - while also treating them. He took the time to explain his research, and it all made perfect sense. Just a caring person - as one hopes a doctor will be. I recommend others to him, and will continue to do so.
Egotistical, doesn't listen at all.
Dr. Wilson has extremely poor people skills, questions patients with leading questions in an accusatory tone and is no where near gentle during examination.
I accompanied my girlfriend to a visit with Dr. Wilson, and he stepped out of the room for a minute and we both look at eachother like 'wtf just happened?' He talks a mile a minute without actually giving any information, then drew an imaginary bell-curve and said people on one end are borderline-crazy multi-taskers and the other end is super calm and you wonder how they do it - then he gets up and takes a call mid-sentence... guess we know which side he's on.. Anyway, she has a Traumatic Brain Injury with resulting arm tremors, and he spent the whole 25 minutes or so talking about our 20,000 year old genetics. The whole visit basically boiled down to him talking about how everything we experience are from genetics; all her migraines and muscle tremors aren't neurological, she just pays more attention to them when she's having a bad day; and that students at the U are stressed and swamped with work because it's their personality and genetic code! I'm like umm...I went there for 5 years and I can safely say, no, it's not. Yes, some people handle stress better than others, but it doesn't mean that people are predisposed to anxiety and panic attacks due to their genetics with no hope of ever changing. But he just dismissed me outright and said it's their genetics. He ended up not giving any diagnosis at all except for "it's your genes" and referred her to a psychologist. It was pretty terrifying to see another reviewer on here say that Dr. Wilson tried diagnosing MS as depression! and that person has more than my fullest sympathies and heartfelt-wishes that they get better! If Wilson is any kind of doctor, it's a geneticist, and not neurologist. Don't waste your time, because you'll get nowhere and walk out confused!
Ditto everything everyone else has said - plains of Africa, etc etc. put up with him for almost 5 yrs, I have a thick skin (I'm a lawyer) and for some reason I thought he was one of the top neurologists in Missoula. However. He then said something that was beyond the bounds of comprehension, not to mention ethics. Right before I gave birth to my daughter I made the decision to taper myself off of Lamictal because I knew it was not approved for breast-feeding. (However I had stayed on it while I was pregnant, because he said it was safe for pregnancy.) About a year and a half later when I felt I needed to get back on it I went back in to ask him to renew my prescription. He lectured me about going off of it, which, okay fine whatever I get it. But I told him I didn't feel comfortable taking it while breast-feeding, and also told him I was kind of wondering why he had kept me on it during pregnancy because I had since read that it was not approved for pregnancy. His response was, and I pretty much quote, "Well given your family history and your husband's family history, what are the chances your daughter isn't going to be dealing with this too, anyway?" In other words, don't worry about the drug's safety classification for pregnancy and breast feeding, because your daughter might as well be getting lamictal in the womb. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. Oh and he has never met my husband - But apparently he doesn't need to meet him to diagnose him with hyperactive African brain syndrome. The last straw was this week when his office refused to respond to three requests from my pharmacy to refill my prescription, which is for temporal lobe epilepsy. His assistant then informed me that they were not going to refill it until I came into see Dr. Wilson because it had been over a year. However he would not be back in the office for two weeks and apparently it was fine if I had a seizure in the meantime. Incredibly, This was after I had just called his office that morning and told them I was having increased symptoms and wanted to get in to see him right away. His response was to refuse to refill my prescription at all, until he was back in the office in 2 weeks. Lamictal is NOT a drug you can stop cold, basically he was willing to put me through 2 weeks of misery and maybe a grand mal. Done, done, and done.
It is hard to say nice things, but i feel people need to know that they should know about Dr. Lennard Wilson. He didn't listen to me and made a lot of strange comments about genetics and said anxiety was causing my pain. He prescribed Prozac. I had no history of anxiety or depression or chronic pain. I came into his office because after being hit by a car (violently) as a pedestrian I could not move my neck and my leg was numb from nerve damage caused by massive hematomas.
Lennard Wilson was.... well, I'm trying to say it nicely, but the truth is, he was the worst doctor I have ever been to. My daughter was seriously ill for a year. She had extremely low blood pressure, high heart rate, fainting, problems breathing, couldn't focus and had to be removed from school. From the minute we walked in the door he started rattling off how by the time kids get referred to him they have problems with depression. He didn't listen at all, just wrote a prescription and said to get back to school. He did not even know that she had two reasons not to be prescribed that drug! I WAS SO ANGRY!
went to him years ago for chronic migraines- he told me after a 3.5 minute visit that I was a drug abuser and just wanted more from him- that he would not be my "supplier". I had heard there was a new drug called Imitrex and would like to try it. Now we know that it works VERY well- but I had to go see someone else to help the headaches. This man made me feel like a complete loser... if there was a "ZERO" star- I'd use that one

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
