List of Mark Channer Md's Reviews
I went in for bilateral knee Replacements March 15th of 2021. 12 days later I went to the emergency room with severe pain and left knee blown up. They did an emergency surgery that Monday. At that point I was told that I had staph infection, from the day I left the hospital I had one spot on my left knee that would not heal up and had a lot of drainage even to the point if you squeezed it shot out in which I told them several times. At this point they put a PICC line under my arm that leaked into the top of my heart and I had to shoot antibiotics in there three times a day several syringes each time for six weeks. To make a long story short that tire time when I had appointments with my doctor he never did come to see me until the very last visit he always had his PA come. Now I'm no genius but I would expect a common courtesy that if I had a patient who was very very ill I would be the one to take care of that patient. The last time I went in my father was with me and dr. Channer just told me that I would never be the same and I would always have some kind of infection or sickness due to the antibodies. At this point I lost all faith in my doctor and his staff it seemed as though he got his money and really did not care about what else happened. My father and I asked just what the hell does that mean and he just said you just won't ever be right. After I got a new doctor oh, he said the original implant was more than likely infected, I also found out that I was allergic to the antibiotics that I was taking in the PICC line. Four more surgeries later I lost my left leg. Everybody got paid and I'm the guy that's out. Chris Perkins
Wonderful facility, managed by a great staff. Upon entering you are greeted with friendliness, care, and warmth, right up until the time you leave. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, they are attentive to your concerns, making a genuine effort to listen and care for your needs. Smooth procedure as well. Thank you to all the staff - First Class!!
Underwent a hip replacement surgery. The entire surgical/medical team - Dr Channer, Dr Sullivan, PA Ramsey, the pre-op and post-op nurses - were fantastic. Skilled, compassionate, and all with wonderful personalities. All procedures was explained in detail in a relaxed environment. Successful surgery. Was able to go home the same day!
I’ve had 3 surgeries now with the 4th coming soon. I would not trust anyone except Dr Channer to do this,.He is a true pioneer in his field. He has an amazing group of people working with him. His surgery nurse; Judy is one of a kindest people you’ll meet. Just who is the office nurse is very helpful and friendly. Alex, PA is cheerful and very lucky to be working with an icon.
Dr. Channer and everyone @ MB&J are the best!! I really lucked out on finding Dr. Mark as he is one of the few Orthopedic Surgeons that uses the Anterior method & he was willing to give me a Bilateral Total Hip replacement! Pain was VERY easily tolerated and lasted about a week to 11 days. Walking on my own after 15 days and such an amazing recovery overall!! Now at 14 months and just 👍
Dr. Channer is the absolute best! His nurse Judy was also great! He performed an Anterior Bilateral Total Hip Surgery on me and EVERYONE who knows me couldn’t believe how my post surgery pain, recovery and ALL progress seemed effortless! I hit my 14 month since surgery and I am sooo happy!,
I saw Dr. Channer July 2019 for increasing debilitating pain in my knee which has a partial replacement. I had an x-ray, after which he simply told me I needed a full replacement. I was expecting this, but there was really no discussion-- or examination. Maybe he was having an off day? I left there feeling a bit befuddled. I basically stopped doing anything that aggravated my knee, like walking:( and did my own research. I received no follow up phone calls. I would be getting a second opinion to go any further.
My experience going to Mark Channer, MD was extremely professional from check-in, minimal wait, actually on time. Dr. Channer was a very pleasant and very easy to talk to, he was very informative about what he felt would be a very good plan of action. I am extremely pleased with his recommendations and the procedure and plan and the action taken. Great staff, caring and professional.
I saw Dr. Channer in July 2019 for increasing pain in my knee that had been partially replaced. After the x-ray, he simply said that it needs to be completely replaced. There was no examination or compassion, no follow-up call. I left feeling bewildered. I stopped doing whatever aggravated my knee, like walking:( I'm getting a second opinion, eventhough the results will probably be the same, but I need a bit more reassurance; maybe a little empathy as well. I don't feel he really considered my issues in this quick visit. Maybe it was an off day.
My experience with Msla Bone and Joint is very positive. Dr Channer is a really fine surgeon and a real person. I think he is the best as I had a really damaged knee that he replaced and after 2 and1/2 months works well. he said I will be ready for hunting season. I had a new knee 20 days from my first appointment with Msla bone and joint. All the preliminary surgery tests were done at Community Hospital on my first visit. Really top notch and efficient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
