Melody Nelsen's Online Review Report Card

It was my first appointment with Dr Nelson, and I brought a host of challenges for her. She went above and beyond any other doctor by spending adequate time for our appointment until she fully understood all the problems I was having. She was a very good listener, and she took it upon herself to reach out to my other doctors to seek additional information regarding my conditions. Based on my experience with her she is very competent in her field.

Dr. Nelsen has been my Rheumatologist for several years. She has been one of the only doctors who actually takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns. She is very prompt in getting back to me after I leave her a message, and she takes the time to explain things when I don't quite understand. She is always pleasant during my visits, even when she is rushed with other patients.

Dr Nelson is brilliant! She is also very busy but takes the time to explain things we don’t understand. She is caring and compassionate.

Dr. Nelsen is a very understanding person. She tries her best to help her patients and has helped me quite a bit. She takes her time to listen to her patient’s history and has taken a very holistic approach towards mine. I visited another rheumatologist for my illness and didn’t get anywhere with him (not providing names because he is still a great doctor). When I started seeing Dr. Nelsen everything started turning around. An auto immune disease is one of the most difficult things to manage and everyone is different. Dr. Nelsen has a very kind heart and has taken amazing care of myself and a few other people I know. I greatly appreciate her and everything she does.

As a physician who has been treated by Dr Nelson and seen many of her patients I can highly recommend her, however, I hope you see someone else as she has a very full schedule for routine follow up. For sick patients she always makes time. She is one of the most thorough, careful, knowledgeable physicians I know.

Needs to put the best interest of her patients first.

If I could give no stars I would. My mom has saw this doctor for 7 years. 6 months ago when my mom refused a med that made her deathly ill, Dr. Melody nelson started taking her off if meds that were very important to my mothers health. Within 2 weeks after doing this to my mom , my moms health got worse and worse of the past 6 months. I'm only 12 years old my brother is 7 yeara old and now I her daughter have to take care of my mom. My mom was able to work out, play with us, be our coach for sports and that all got taken away for myself and my brother .Now at 12 years old I have to take care of my mom .My mom I fear will die if we don't find a new doctor. Yesterday my mom, myself and my father went to her appointment because my mom feared Dr. Nelson . when we all told her this and that she not only destory my moms life but mine, and my brothers. My father has missed work over trying to help me take care of our mom and now fincially Dr. Nelson has destoried us. My mom fired her yesterday but not after she told her she didn't trust her .By law Dr. Nelson has to give my mom her meds until she finds a new doctor and she refuses to. Which will kill my mom. She did this to my aunt as well and she passed due to Dr. Nelson neglect. Now my mother. When my father called around missoula for a new doctor she has bashes my mom to the point no one will see her . She wont refur my mom out which by law she has to and she is refusing to. Until then my mom is not ok. I fear ill loose her. Plus if she did my mom will have to travel 4 hrs to the nearest doctor which she can't travel due to her illness. I think shes the worst doctor on the planet . she will not treat u fairly , treat u like a drug addict , and if u don't agree with her make ur life miserable . please don't take ur loved ones to her she will hurt them in the end . also this doctor knew my mom had pid ( pelvic inflammatory disease) which will kill you . she neglect to tell my mom this my mom ended up in hospatil and almost died due to her negligence. My mom didn't deserve to die or be in that position werw she would have a chamce of dieing. She doesnt care and will kill ur loved ones .Run from her as fast as possible

I have been a patient of Dr. Nelson for nine months. She is very thorough in making a diagnosis, and is very concerned about my well-being

Rude and disrespectful. Doesn't listen to patients. When you say you would like to get a second opinion she scoffs and says it's not necessary. When you insist she says she will only refer you to another doctor in the clinic. I have no faith in her and her diagnosis. I don't feel like what she says I have is what I have. Don't do it. Don't goto her. She's also always late and expects you to accommodate her schedule.

Dr. Nelson is an excellent rheumatologist. She is also a kind and compassionate person. Dr Nelson has treated my sister and myself for spondylitis. She has been insightful and has helped me to improve my condition by 50%.
