List of P. Andy Puckett's Reviews
Dr. Puckett gave me the full use of my wrist after surgery earlier this year. I would highly recommend him to anyone with hand or wrist problems. He is the best and takes the time to answer all questions you may have. Since this first post Dr. Puckett performed a fusion on my right thumb due to RA pain which continued to get worse. I am now pain free and so thankful for Dr. Puckett and his wonderful work.
Dr. Puckett is both friendly and professional. He listened to my concerns and addressed them all, both causation and options. I was very confident in Dr. Puckett as my surgeon as everything had been clearly explained. The clinic and staff were excellent and my surgery was just what I had expected. I would highly recommend him and Missoula Bone& Joint Orthopedic Clinic for anyone having hand issues,
Dr. Puckett is yet another fine example of the consistent level of care and expertise I have experienced with all of the other physicians I have been cared for at Missoula Bone and Joint. I so appreciate the compassion, and understanding that comes with every appointment. Most of all I am so grateful for the exceptional and talented surgeons who have changed my life so completely with every procedure. There are none finer in their craft and none finer in their level of care. Thanks Dr. Puckett for helping me toward a pain free, capable, and strong right hand.
Dr.Puckett is a nice doctor. I would recommend him to everyone. His staff are nice to. Carly was nice to.
Dr. Puckett is a nice doctor. I had a bone spur on my thumb. He did a really good job doing it. I would recommend him. His staff are super nice to.
I drove to see Dr. Puckett from Helena yesterday and was extremely disappointed with the visit. Yes, he is very arrogant and very set in his ways. I'm glad I will not be using him as a surgeon. But mostly I am upset that their website for hand surgery specifically states that Spherical Implant Surgery is a surgery they offer. THEY DO NOT. He seemed surprised that it says this. I would say, please pay attention to your own advertising. I quote directly from the website: "In another joint replacement procedure called Spherical Implant Surgery, a small ceramic ball is placed between the ends of the bones to form a new joint. The surgeon removes the ends of the bones and creates an area for the ball to fit snuggly in the joint. The ball implant allows the bones to glide smoothly." The office staff knew that I was calling specifically about that type of surgery and allowed me to drive 110 miles each way only to be told (by an arrogant man) nope.
From the moment we met him, he spoke down to us. He came very highly recommended and boy, did he know it! After seeing a PA at our main doctor and also a PA at MBJ clinic, both stating my husband has carpel tunnel syndrome (months of severe lower wrist pain after years of numbness and tingling), Puckett ordered labs and an EMG because there was so much pain in my husband's arms. Labs were clear and EMG showed moderate to severe carpel tunnel syndrome. Puckett STILL would not order surgery. He requested us to exhaust all other options - even though most options had already been done with no pain alleviatation. Not only were we wasting money, but my husband is already out of work due to his pain and loss of grip, making him a safety hazard at work. We are a one income household and his hands are our livelihood. Puckett has the nerve to tell him he needs to find a new career, never made eye contact with me unless I spoke up to his decisions (misogynist, much?), and told us if a surgeon said my husband needed CT surgery to ''be very cautious". We loved the staff at MBJ but this doctor we would not recommend to ANYONE. Our new surgeon with Northwest Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, out of Kalispell, met my husband once, reviewing all the previous tests, and said the only option now is surgery. DUH!
Very caring Dr....excellent re pore with his patients..would highly recommend his work.
Although this might be considered minor surgery performed on my hand the misery I suffered before operation was very annoying. From the moment of giving me a local shot in my hand to the end of operation and wearing off of deadening agent I have experienced no pain or discomfort. Not only can I say he is an excellent surgeon I have to highlight the personal care shown by Dr Puckett, Andrea and Nickey (nurses), which makes the patient very comfortable. I highly recommend him and his staff!
My experience for my hand surgery was nothing but excellent. Dr Puckett, his nurse Andrea, L. Westenfelder PA and the surgical nurse provided fantastic care. Surgery itself went so fast, smooth & professional. They are a great team! I will highly recommend Dr Puckett to anyone who may need his services. Also I wanted to note, the front staff at Missoula Bone & Joint always had a smile and was very friendly- it made me feel welcome from the start. Thank you Andrea for all your help!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
