Not very educated on the new virus

Worst service and  etiquette from the doctors and staff. I am from California and our hospitals put this hospital to shame . I would not move up here bowing this would be a place I would have to go for care.

I cannot tell you what this hospital has meant to my husband and I. My husband had two open heart surgies and can say the staff, Dr. Long and Dr. Reed were both fantastic.  I will mention the menu lady and the coffee shop.  I had a knee replacement there and always received, attention, great care and I ate really well.  I wish I knew the menu ladies name, when you call, its like she is there, dropped in like an angel, makes suggestions.  The entire staff, from the ER to the Heart Institute gives you confidence in they're abilities and kindness to otheres.  Thank you so much.Roger and Sue JohnsonMissoula, MT.

This review pertains to St Patrick's ER. I brought my 75 year old husband there a couple of weeks ago for severe, excruciating abdominal pain. He also has a very serious medical condition. After being triaged in the waiting room, he was told that he would have to wait his turn. He asked if he could please lie down while waiting, even just on the floor in the corner of the waiting room. They adamantly refused to let him lie down (against their "policy") and so, finally, after more than an hour curled up in a chair in absolute misery, he went outside to lie down on the ground. They were fine with that and said they would come get him when they were ready. This is the kind of treatment I'd expect to get in a third world country. I cannot believe it is their idea of continuing to "honor and live by a commitment to compassionate service that the Sisters of Providence began more than 155 years ago" (their words). For heaven's sake, at least let people in severe pain lie down while they are waiting to be seen!

was in the hospital January 29 at about 7 PM and I went in for a horrible sickness which ended up being the flu I've been sick for a month and a half and then thrown around with the wrong medications after seeing Michael kremkue in the ER he handed me prescriptions and told me he was giving me coding cough syrup and prednisone. When I went to go get the prescription turns out they don't even make it anymore and all they were willing to give me his regular cough syrup I have been very sick for a long time and regular cough syrup has not helped because I've been using it for half the time I've been sick. My hue just complaint is that he lied to both me and my fiancé when giving me the prescription I spent an hour at Walmart trying to figure things out and it turns out all I get is regular cough syrup because when I called my doctor I was not allowed to speak to him and they told me they would not rewrite my script.     I think that it is illegal not to mention just horrible for him to lie to your patient. On top of that the fact that I could not speak to him and the nurse Amanda running the front desk was being very rude to me. I would like them both to be reprimanded for being completely rude to me and not giving me what I needed in order to feel better.It was the only thing that helped me in the ER and the respiratory nurses had told him to give it to me. I will not be returning to the St. Patrick's Hospital

If you or a loved one are suicidal, DO NOT go to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. I took my daughter to the E.R. at St Patrick's where she told the doctor she was going to kill herself and described how she would do it. They sent her home and refused care for her. Last night she did it. She overdosed in an attempt to end her life. I am sitting in ICU with her hoping she wakes up.

I can only say I wish there were negative star ratings.  Absolutely the most horrific stay and treatment I have ever received from a hospital.  The cardiac team was horrible.  The doctor only wanted to brag about himself and degrade/demean both myself and my wife.  After being in ICU three days, two in Helena, and one in Missoula, their "cardiac specialist"  couldn't be bothered to perform a possible life saving procedure set me home with med he said might work although he doubted it.  What a waste of money and time.  I will hopefully get to Salt Lake soon and find a doctor who isn't to busy to help a patient who has had to get his heart electrically shocked three times in a month.  Truly disgusting!!

I only put this many stars so someone would read this I'm not from Missoula I was brought here this doctor Donovan straight up told me I'm looking for narcotics and have to leave wtf!!!!!! I work for the state as a nurse!

Recently, I had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Edwin Levine in St. Patrick hospital. I was cared very well by the nurses and the anesthetists there and was very impressed by their professionalism! And the whole surgery process went very smoothly. Strongly recommend St. Patrick hospital.

I understand we live in a drug filled city and there are lots of addicts in Montana, but I was treated horribly in the St. Patrick Emergency Room last night. I was immediately profiled the moment I came in. Just because I'm young DOES NOT mean I don't deserve the same quality of care. When I walked through to the room they put me in all the doctors were watching TV, but I still wasn't even seen for at lease a half hour by a nurse. They didn't even administer fluids for over 45 minutes, the whole while I was screaming and crying in pain. My boyfriend went to check on their ETA and the nurse was doing nothing but drinking tea at her desk. They finally gave me nausea medication after i had been there over an hour, and even though i was diagnosed with hyperventilation by the nurse before I even got into my hospital room, they didn't give me anything for anxiety for probably another 20 minutes (almost 1 1/2 hours after i'd been there). Apparently they finally gave me something for the pain as well, but I don't really remember because the anxiety medication had kicked in- I just remember finally being able to sleep because the pain had subsided. I'm very upset and unhappy with my experience last night, they were full aware I had been in pain for 4+ hours and they still made me wait an entire hour before giving me anything to actually help me. Horrible. My boyfriend told me about an experience with very similar symptoms, going in for gas pains as a teenager with his mom and he said he was treated immediately and with no issues, the only reason they took so long is because we're young adults, and that's BULLSHIT! Honestly St. Patrick's is lucky there was nothing seriously wrong with me, because that kind of negligence is going to get you sued when you come across a patient with serious underlying conditions. I wish I wasn't in too much pain to catch the doctors (and especially the nurse- who was incredibly rude) names because they both were extremely negligent of my care. Fuck you St. Patrick's, God is not in your walls and you should be ashamed of the care you provide to your patients.
