Front office staff is extremely rude, all they care about is payment. My daughter had an appointment for an ear infection, she beat me to the office by 5 minutes, and told them I would be there shortly. The ladies were extremely rude to her and told her she would have to pay in full if I didn't show up with our insurance card before the end of the appointment (same insurance they have had on file for years). I got there before she was even called back for her appointment. She was diagnosed with a double ear infection and given antibiotics. It takes a few days for antibiotics to help with ear infection pain, the next day we had already left for the High School Divisional tournament in a different city, and her ears felt worse than the day before, and she was in excruciating pain. We called the office to see if they could prescribe some numbing ear drops for her and I was told absolutely not, she had to come in for another appointment. I pointed out that she was in the day before and diagnosed already. NOPE, they refused! It seems to me that all they care about is money, as this would have been another office visit just to get a prescription. Never in my life have I dealt with a doctors office that put money before patient care. So many better options in the area, our entire family will never go back to this practice.

After being a patient for over 18 years and now being told that if I don't or can't pay the 1800.00 a year for the privilege to see Dr. Crew I can no longer be a patient.
I am simply shocked. I've never been treated so poorly before by any doctor ever and I'd just met Dr. Crews. He cut me off mid-sentence several times. He dismissed my symptoms, treating them as non-issues and practically ridiculed me when I explained my anxiety. He then abruptly cut me off from a medication that I've taken since 2018 because he didn't think I should have it. I was working with his PA Sari (who is wonderful and I feel bad that she has to work with a man like Dr. Crews) on decreasing the dosage but he decided he wouldn't refill it again. It almost seemed personal to him which I felt was unprofessional to say the least. I was so upset by his almost aggressive demeanor that I couldn't wait to get out of the room with him. Needless to say I will be finding another doctor as well as one for my daughter. I would NEVER let her anywhere near an insensitive doctor like Dr. Crews.
I use to LOVE coming to Storybrook. The ladies who greeted you were so friendly and made you feel so welcomed. Within the last year or so the office has changed so much. Those nice ladies were moved off to the side and a younger crew was brought in who are NOT genuinely friendly. It’s that polite hi that’ll be $25. Billing has become a mess, I even received a message left on my phone saying they were going to have to call collections on me for a $54 unpaid bill that I had a question about. There was a lot more said in the message and it was so unprofessional and nasty. Like I was trying to skip out on paying a lousy $54. A $25 copay was never taken off that bill so I wanted to come in to talk to them about it but explained I was going to be out of the state for a few weeks. I had been a patient there for 4 years and never missed one payment. Then my last visit with Dr Crews turned a bit frustrating. I was having heart problems so he asked me if I was under any stress. So I said well a little because of how the economy was at this moment. Not only did he look at me like I was nuts but he then proceeded to argue with me that there was nothing wrong with our economy. He wanted to know what has gone up besides gas, which at the time was $4.89 a gallon and he said that wasn’t bad. When I said everything he said like what? So I said food, clothing, building materials which he interjected and said well are you building anything right now? I sat there stunned. I felt like he was baiting me and thought really? This is how you treat a patient with heart issues? I paid and decided I would never go back! I wish Sari would open her own place because she is wonderful! But I was told “I am not allowed to see her since I am a patient of Dr. Crews!”
Dr. Crews has absolutely no compassion for his patients who have been diagnosed with a serious medical condition. His bedside manner is cruel and completely the opposite of the oath he took as a physician. He seems to feel that since he can do it, anyone can. He neglects to remember that every Body is unique, every patient has their own way of dealing with the diagnosis of chronic disease.
First off dr.kerslake and her assistants are great!! Now that she is on leave Dr.Crews is seeing her patients and is an absolutely horrible Dr. Everything Sari had in motion for my wife and her m.s. was going great until my wife had to go to Dr. Crews to have a few things reviewed and signed. He ended everything instantly by refusing to sign and going against what Dr.Kerslake had in place for us. so now we are at a dead end with no alternative until Sari is back which cant be soon enough! (absence is 100% understandable for maternity leave) we will be looking for an alternative until Dr. Kerslake is back! Needless to say assistants and dr. Kerslake i would rate 5 stars all day! As for Dr. Crews if i could leave a negative star review i would!
Very much money driven over patient care office. Just go find another provider.
I have always found Dr. Crews and his staff to be professional, caring and willing to answer any questions or concerns. He takes the time to connect with his patients and offers quality care.
After 11years of taking my boys to see Dr. Crews, we unfortunately will be going elsewhere now. I recently took my son in for a school physical for sports and at the end of the appointment Dr. Crews asked if I had any questions or concerns. I asked him a dietary question regarding my son. 2 months later, I received a bill for $143. Insurance paid for the physical itself, but apparently Dr. Crews billed me additionally for the question that I had asked. I told him that my son was having some digestive issues and I asked him if I should have him tested for food allergies since I have a few. Anyway, long story short...I was NOT told ahead of time that I would be charged if I were to ask a question. And to me, this was a simple question. It did not go over our appointment time either. When I called to complain, they said specifically that I was billed because I asked a question after the physical. This is NOT okay. People should be told AHEAD of time if they are going to be charged for asking questions!! So ridiculous and just wanting money....I do not recommend this practice to anyone. They apparently will bill you for anything and everything they can now! Zero empathy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
