List of Kathleen Lewison's Reviews
After spending two whole minutes with me and then asking if I had any questions, we were told that was it for the day. Never received any explanation of the blood work I had a month prior. We even asked for a quick ultrasound (the facility has portable ones on iPads), she quickly said no and rushed us out like there were better things for her to do. No doctor at any stage should be skipping steps, dismissing patients, and act like they would rather be anywhere else when speaking with you. Thanks for nothing.
Gross lack of professionalism. Was approved for a hysterectomy/oophorectomy, had date set, arranged to take time off work, then when I arrived for my pre-surgical consult I was treated abysmally by the medical assistant, who was rude from the start and kept drilling me about my PAST (as in YEARS AGO) chemical dependence and mental health status. When I asked why this was relevant to today's visit she ignored me and stormed out. Dr comes in, now suddenly refusing to remove ovaries. Talked over me, gaslit me about my PCOS/endometriosis pain level, and ultimately refused me care all due to mental health stigma and bias. I started to cry and she told me she felt attacked, got up and left the room. I have met some doozies in healthcare but the fact that this woman operates on people is terrifying. Just glad she's not going to be doing anything to me! By the way, the families of several ex patients (at least one of whom died due to negligent lack of a breast cancer diagnosis) accuse her of malpractice, so maybe I dodged a bullet! Just wish I hadn't wasted time and energy.
Gross lack of professionalism. Was approved for a total hysterectomy and oopherectomy, then when I got there for pre-surgical consult was treated abysmally by her medical assistant, who was rude from the get-go and kept drilling me about my PAST (like, YEARS in the past!) chemical/alcohol use and mental health history. When I asked why this was relevant to today she ignored me and then stormed out. Doctor comes in, suddenly now she refuses to proceed with oopherectomy part until I get a "second opinion", ignores and talks over me when I protest and mention my pain, condescendingly informs me I'm being hostile when I start explaining the ovulation/menstrual/PCOS/endo-related pain I've been in since age 15 and how it's crippled so many aspects of my life and daily activities, rolled her eyes at me, barked that I was "too young" (at 32!) to be on hormone replacement therapy, insinuated that I wasn't in as much pain as I made out to be, then said she was feeling "attacked" and left room.

Went to read reviews and find out she has 2 malpractice suits against her. Should have looked! Will warn everyone I can about Dr. Dramatic here!
Unprofessional manner. While accompanying my daughter, at her request, to her pre-op surgery (a scheduled hysterectomy her nurse practitioner had scheduled a few weeks before pre-op visit) Dr Lewison told her she disagreed with her having the surgery and to get a 2nd opinion. When she explained the chronic pain she’s in and tried everything for for past 17 yrs, Dr Lewison blurted out “I’m stepping ...
Accompanied my 30+ yr daughter to a pre-op apt with Dr. Lewison so we’d both know how the surgery would be performed and what to expect. She’d already been seen & scheduled by her offices nurse practitioner for surgery as both her GP & the NP felt given her multiple ovary/endo cysts etc & chronic pain issues that a hysterectomy and/or ovarian removal was reasonable & appropriate for a condition that isn’t curable and considering she has always been infertile anyway. Dr. Lewison told her within 2 minutes that she didn’t agree because she’s in her early 30s & should seek a 2nd opinion. Considering her own nurse practitioner didn’t find the surgery unnecessary and had already scheduled it, we were both surprised she said this. My daughter stood up to demonstrate how various positions like lifting, carrying weight and even wearing tight clothes for her job caused pain across her lower belly. I added that she’s been dealing with it for many years. At this point, Dr Lewison said “I’m stepping out because I feel threatened”! & she immediately bolted from the room. My daughter & I both just looked at each other like “what just happened?” We were speechless & stunned by her inappropriate & unprofessional behavior. Never seen a medical professional act that way. My daughter started crying feeling left hopeless & baffled & we left. Neither of us could understand Lewisons strange behavior or reason for bolting from room. She’s decided to seek a qualified stable doctor in Missoula now. I’m still shocked by her unprofessional action.
*Edit* My wife passed away in February at the young age of 43. Completely avoidable and 100% Lewison's fault. She never even followed up with us!!!! Complete hack of a doctor. Failed to diagnose my wife with cancer after nearly 2 years of obvious symptoms. She even went as far to prescribe her with birth control, which the estrogen caused her cancer to metastasize. She was too lazy to perform the 2 min biopsy all along until finally decided to, after we requested. She then took a very defensive stance, taking no responsibility for her negligence. Absolutely the worst "doctor" I have ever encountered. Review below is very similar, this is not a coincidence. Don't go to her or allow your family to be treated, or mis-treated by this hack.
Dr. Lewison is a wonderful and caring physician. She takes as much time as needed to answer questions during phone calls and appointments, and she explains the underlying reasoning for any recommendations she makes. I am grateful to have her as my OB.
Dr. Lewison saved my baby’s life and we are so grateful for her. Our son was caught under my pelvic bone coming out with chord wrapped around his neck. I went from 4 centimeters to birth, so his exit was unexpected. Dr Lewison ran to our room, was able to pull him out and fully rescesitate him. She was kind, encouraging and professional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
