I am very pleased with service provided by Dr.Stewart 's secretary and himself . His admin assistance showed real compassion and empathy when I called to schedule an appointment with Dr.Stewart. She heard my concern with patience ,put my name on the cancellation list and called me as soon as the an appointment came available. Dr.Stewart himself devoted his ears and eyes to my concern during my visit . His professional care relieved my pain and anxiety , as I was really in need for medical advice. Thank you Dr.Stewart for showing your human care ability.

I've had one in person visit and three telephone appointments all with an average wait time of one hour forty five minutes for each. And when he saw me he rushed through the appointment with no consultation. I agree with all the comments regarding the incompetent assistant his attitude, arrogance and condescending. I've read the reports he wrote for my appointments, they were made up, he never discuss anything with me. My doctor referred me to another urologists the stress of waiting and lack of help from Stewart is not worth it.

Dr Robert Stewart was my urology surgeon for over 16 years. I literally owe my life to this amazing man. He took care of me with courtesy, competence and kindness over all those years which included many, many cystos and 11 TURB’s. I miss hearing his booming baritone voice echoing through the halls of St Michael’s urology clinic!

Had a request from my doctor to see this Urologist, have been waiting almost 2 months and have not been contacted yet. I have phoned the office multiple times and there is no answer, and when the voicemail kicks in im told to not leave a voicemail as they will phone back, in one of the rudest and actually scary voices I have yet to hear. I did my own research and found my own urologist who replied instantly and I have my appointment booked in 2 weeks. Avoid this place if you care for your health!

I totally agree with the 2 previous ratings - he is condescending, dismissive, non-caring and a total prick with terrible bedside manners. After following his instructions for water intake, catheterizing, he made me feel as though I was a child doing something wrong. "Do you want me to repeat myself"? (with an impatient, louder voice). Incompetent idiot!

Total arrogant prick. Received a letter in the mail asking me to come in for an appointment. When I arrived, nurse informed me I was to receive a Cystoscopy, whereby a small camera is rammed down penis. No one from his office bothered to inform me in advance. When I developed a severe urinary tract infection (the first I ever had) exactly 24 hours after procedure that sent me to emergency for nine hours, no one from his office ever followed up. The nurses at Mt. Sinai's emergency department had to install a catheter. Even though Dr. Stewart's office was asked by the doctor in emergency to contact me about removing the catheter, no one from his office made contact. Honestly, I've never experienced anything so traumatizing in the Canadian healthcare system.

Horrible experience. Condescending, dismissive, non-caring.

His assistant is...I repeat...IS the stupidest, most INCOMPENTENT , ill equipped individual I've ever had to deal with in a professional environment EVER. She sent me for a biopsy without giving me a prescription for the antibodies I need to take beforehand, When I got a call from St Michaels hospital advising me of an appointment I didn't know I had, I called her and her excuse was she sent me a letter with the info then HAD THE AUDACITY TO BLAME ME FOR NOT GETTING THE LETTER. Dr Stewart should know his assistant is his front line and how can he expect anyone to have confidence in HIM when his inefficient staff on the phone makes Rob Ford look like the Dalai Lama. Yesterday I received a letter advising me of an appointment I have that is 1 MONTH AND 4 DAYS AFTER the appointment that has been scheduled. When I called to ascertain that this was wrong, the message on the phone was SHE'S NOT TAKING MESSAGES AND WILL BE BACK MONDAY APRIL 4. Today is MONDAY APRIL 2. Is medical care from this office a delayed April Fool JOKE????

Dr. Stewart was knowledgeable, very straightforward, and quite efficient.
