I give this hospital a one star however the staff needs to be plus five. Ashley and Chris in the pediatric floor were amazing and others were as good as they could be with the limited coverage they had. We came in the ER for appendicitis and after 4 days finally were able to leave. I am upset my daughter wasn’t operated on when I took her to the ER late Sunday. Mission decided it wasn’t “urgent” since her scan showed her appendix was only inflamed. Well it ruptured in their care hours later and it was the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed. This went from her leaving Monday to leaving 4 days later. That alone is annoying but if you’re a parent watching your child as their appendix ruptures in a hospital knowing you can’t help them while they could have been operated on is the worst thing ever.
The people were great
Went to mission around 9 for a ultrasound. the VA had to send me to mission to have it done as they dont have access to a sonogram machine after hours. Left mission at 10 returned to the va. Its now 2 am and im still stuck in the hospital because someone at mission is to lazy to call the VA back with results 4 hours after being seen there. Its not even like I need anything crazy just send the email in a few clicks or answer the doctor when they call you. And its not a we are to busy issue its an issue of you sending my doctors to voicemail and not returning calls.
I became acquainted with Transylvania Regional Hospital when my cousin was admitted there for Covid. It was a stressful time for the whole family and we all had great comfort from the excellent care provided by the doctors and nurses. My cousin recovered and I am confident it was because of the top notch care she received. I dont know what things were like in the past but I had to write this review after reading the others. Everything was clean we had no doubt that the people taking care of my cousin were professionals and competent. Thank you for everything. You are appreciated and valued.
Great to have a Hosptial that hired professional doctors nurses etc My dad got sick with COVID last summer and got admitted to hospital. The doctors and nurses took such a good care of our dad while we couldnt visit him we passed a couple packages to him snacks books notebooks etc so he would have something to eatreadwrite and we have a lot of siblings and each of wanted to call ourselves and hear any good news.. We all called multiple times and were scared not to waste their time but they were so professional and sometimes even called us to let us know our Dad was progressing well I must say thank you to the doctors and nurses and especially to God for blessings Doctors and nurses hands that helped our dad recover from the COVID.. Also wanted to add in I had 3 babies delivered at this hospital and I must say Im so glad I got admitted to Mission Hospital and not another hospital that was locally to me with the 3rd baby. Im always so happy to stay at the hospital the food was good and the nurses were so patient and took such a good care of me and my babies.
Rudest staff no care at all for wnyone but themselves. Wouldn’t even give this hospital credit of one star. My mother was taken here by ambulance i live 6 hours away and couldnt do much but call to have them go to her room of sitting in there for over an hour crying in pain and blood everywhere. Highly recommend calling and cussing them out to even remotely have anyone go to your loved ones room to be checked on. Dont go to school and waste your time seeking knowledge in a career you really dont care to be in. What is your “mission”
Wow. Really makes wonder if I get sick I should stay home and die instead of having them help me along. Worst hospital I have ever been to. I had to take my mom to the ER she was then in the hospital for 3 days No valet parking in ER which is strange. Because of COVID I couldn’t stay at night with my mom. The nurses didn’t respond quickly to the call light if at all didn’t do checks. And my mom was left lying in her own feces. Even though her records were sent over no one seemed to have them. The doctor messed up her meds resulting in very low blood pressure and other problems. Not to mention the whole reason she was in the hospital was because her main doctor misdiagnosed her and gave her the wrong meds very sorry we moved here.
This is the worst visit I have ever experienced and it involved my child. I know this place has turned into a circus since being taken over but this was the most ridiculous visit of all They sat us in the hall and did two tests in the amount of 3 hours. I understand being busy but they was able to take a McDonald’s break this is the worst They wouldn’t help us figure out how to check for test results. They sat at the desk and I had to go ask for help. I will do everything we can not to come back here again. Even if it means going to another county
This time out patient surgery. Staff were wonderful.
I am thankful for the high level of care my family has received at Mission Hospital. From doctors and nurses to staff my family was treated with respect during our visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
