List of Brian EDWIN Edwards's Reviews
no go Ignored my requests and when called out on it, claimed I told him I was looking for another doctor. Sent me a letter dismissing me from the entire practice, immediately disabled my portal connection preventing me from printing test results. Lacks compassion and the ability to listen and follow directions.
Like the way he listens and is very thorough. Looks at every angle of the cause of things. Doesn't overprescribe.
Very professional with a friendly tone. This was my second office visit with Dr. Edwards and, he makes me feel like I'm his favorite and most important patient. I especially appreciated the way he will talk with me, not at me. His explanation/reasons are clear and easy to understand. Dr. Edwards also values my perspective. I would and have highly recommended Dr. Edwards.
Very pleased I couldn't be more happy with how Dr Edwards and his office took care of me in an emergency
Dr. Edwards is a terrific PCP. He speaks in layman's words when discussing conditions and supports thepatient's selection of choice for treatments. He readily recommends specialists for specific conditions and his recommendations have been excellent. He is the best primary care doctor I've had and I've had a bunch in my 78 years.
Best PCP I’ve ever had Dr. Edwards has been my PCP for almost 2 years. He is extremely kind, personable, and passionate. He helped me get my blood pressure down to normal and has offered to be available in case I ever have any questions. He’s a great doctor and I don’t think I could ask for better!
What's to say? ( Mission Hosp told me 3/2023 he was no longer affiliated with them for over a year. I don't understand the confusion.) Tons of repeated blood work running up big bills at his own private clinic lab. Pages and pages and pages of lab tests. My blood was always normal. But no answers. I tiptoed outta there. (He probably still doesn't know I'm gone) I got an answer and got treated straight away on the very first visit with a different doctor. Total cost with my new doctor: $185 plus one $25 (after insurance) prescription and one diet change. Problem solved. Actual cost: priceless
This is a Dr who seems more financially and politically interested than interested in patients as people. He lacks genuine human connection. Three times in one year he was overly abusive. He has skills for a narrow repertoire of conditions only. Ignores all outside of that. Orders many lab tests (profits him in their own lab) but fails to directly physically exam. That resulted in my not getting dx +treatment I needed. His resume has a large gap in it. I wonder about why. He behaved in unacceptable ways I've never sent in a Dr. I would be heartfelt concerned for vulnerable seniors who put their trust in him. He's not with Mission Hospital anymore. Just Carolina Internal Medicine Associates. They're like a patient mill. Radiology was great. But lab had dirty technique+ some exam rooms were not clean. I am so relieved to be under the care of a new Dr. Real+ appropriate medical treatment, with kindness, is restoring me to a pain-free, energetic productively life.
This man is now a PCP. I am submitting my experience as a retired ICI/CCU RN, RN Manager-as his former patient. 1st time criticizing any licensed professional. Brian Edwards MD was highly abusive to me; this was the most damaging of all his failures. He failed to correctly diagnose a basic cardiovascular medical problem which was therefore left untreated for a year despite c/o. No preventative tests or monitoring offered. Failed to renew my 1 maintenance Rx on time 3 months in a row. He often sat w/ his back to me during office visits, reading his laptop. Response to my calls was 2 out of 3. He was wrong on prognosis bc he disputed Specialist reports, painting a dreary future to me when there was none. His characterizations of medical dxs always were far worse than the Specialists described. He doesn't look fit + didn't offer any direction for health maintenance for aging. He demonstrated callous disregard for my welfare+ created significant stress. Such a bad experience with a PCP as a patient! Unlike the decades I cherish of therapeutic relationship+ always-correct care I had w prev Drs. This Dr treats people according to his mood +biases. He review well on paper in terms of education. Unfortunately, that asset often recedes behind damaging interpersonal interaction. This is a very unprofessional situation to be involved in as a patient. He practices within an independent group. He has no oversight. There are no consequences or remedies for his behavior. He blocked patients from transferring to another provider in the lg group. This is a state with minimal patient protection laws compared with others. Patients are at a disadvantage. I hope the readers understand my experience is not an isolated scenario.
Looks good on paper. Beware of downside This man was my PCP for 11 months. It began well. I was soon subjected to sudden verbal + emotional abuse, intermittantly. He had unpredicable anger bursts over small things, then continue as if it never happened. He gaslighted my complaints. Said heartrate of 42 was ok because I was relaxing at home. He failed to diagnose +treat my common serious problem in general senior population. He at times kept his back to me during entire office visits. He never ordered even 1 preventative test recommended by insurance +CDC, tho I have a family history. I've never experienced such a negative doctor that sucked all hope out of me to the bone tho specialists all agreed all was OK +expected to stay that way. He lacks the basic human qualities that make a therapeutic PCP. I never felt emotionally safe with him after the early months. Any criticism +he punishes you passive-aggressively. He should go back to Emergency med care. He was w/out mercy at times of bullying. This is all true. Beware.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
