Dr. DePaolo did a total reverse shoulder replacement for me and I couldn't be more pleased with his expertise and care. He is a skilled surgeon but also has a wonderful caring demeanor. He has listened to my concerns, encouraged my progress and seen to it I had excellent rehabilitation. I highly recommend him and the PT team and SESM!

Doctor DePaolo and his team are Fabulous ! Very Caring , professional , andknowledgeable team. Doctor Depaolo done a total right hip replacement onOct. 4 , 2022 and I have done great ! I could not be more pleased or happy with my results and with Doctor Depaolo and his entire team. I have healed very quickly and I am getting my life back! I am able to walk without pain andlimping ! I highly recommend Doctor Depaolo ! He and his team are also very friendly and approachable !

Excellent orthopedic surgeon! I had an anterior approach hip replacement which a great outcome. Doctor DePaulo and his support staff took excellent care of me from my consultation appointment through postoperative care. He can help you get your mobility back!

Dr. DePaolo is very personable. He along with his team replaced my left hip. I cannot begin to tell you what a difference this has made in my life. Thank you Dr.DePaolo for giving me my spunk back!!! You are highly recommended in my book.

My wife had an orthopedic emergency regarding her shoulder. Beginning early in the morning my wife and I called nearly every shoulder specialist in Asheville and nobody was willing to see her that day. Finally Southeastern Orthopedics said they would see her and made an appointment for 12:45 that day with Dr. Depaolo. She was seen at exactly the time of her appointment. Dr. Depaolo could not have possibly been nicer. He spent a lot of time with us and reassured us that he was sure she would be okay. Maybe the best doctor we have ever seen. And my wife and I are both doctors! Could not recommend any more highly.

20 years ago Dr. DePaolo offered a unicompartmental spacer instead of a total knee. It was a fast rehab and is still working perfectly.

Dr DePaolo is a nice guy the review has not much to do with him that’s why I’m giving an extra star…I would give ONE star do the fact that I will never return to the PT there. I was a caregiver for a dying parent and was humiliated in public by the male PT for simply being late. All they had to do was ask why I was late and if there was a better time they could schedule or even simply figure out a solution. No I ended up leaving and not finishing my proper care because he had to be a comedian/jerk. There are real personal problems patients go through and sometimes that’s why they are there in the first place.

In 2013 I had both of my knees replaced 9 months apart. I worked on those painful knees for 6 years, until I retired from my career as an educational administrator. In March of 2021, I began experiencing pain in my right hip. I thought that I must have pulled my groin muscle, so I started exercising to strengthen and stretch that muscle. After three months of continuing and worsening pain, I finally asked my PCP to recommend an orthopedic doctor. She recommended SESM and her nurse called to set up an appointment. My knees were painful, but nothing can compare with the pain my right hip was causing me. I saw Dr. De Paolo in mid July of this year. He took Xrays of both of my hips and found that my right hip had significant arthritic deterioration. He recommended a total hip replacement using the anterior procedure. I told him to sign me up right away because I just couldn't live with this pain. He replaced my hip on July 27th and I have not experienced any pain since. I am currently participating in outpatient PT. I am continuing to improve and get stronger each day, and I am completely pain free. Thank you, Dr. De Paolo and your staff for giving me a new lease on life.
