My bad experience was not with Dr. Varner himself. I have had 4 appointments now that were scheduled for the wrong office. They have 2 locations 1 in Hendersonville and 1 in Brevard. They have screwed this up 4 times now. The last appointment which was urgent supposed to be for Hendersonville due to urgency but they scheduled me for Brevard. I wasn’t told this and drove ½ an hour to Hendersonville only to be told my appointment was in Brevard. The other 3 errors were scheduling me for Hendersonville when I made the appointments for Brevard. Staff needs to be doubly sure that the patient is given the correct appointment and that they know at which office the appointment has been scheduled. I would never make an appointment in Hendersonville unless it was for a procedure.

I had a colonoscopy performed in Dr. Varners office in 2017. care was excellent. I also know him as a consulting physician and had great respect for his professional care.

Dr. Varner was welcoming to me and after my colonoscopy he explained the results and the recommendations he had for me. He also answered my questions. He has a pleasant bedside manner and made me comfortable in what is not an especially positive process.

This is a great doctor who does lissen to your medical problems. Some problems are with his staff at the office like not the return of your origional medical records when you have requested them to return them to you. My only problem with dr. varner is that when he cant help you any more he wants you to go to see other doctors far away that you cant afford to see instead of seeing them in a local area.

All so they called to say they were calling in a new medication for me after me complaining current medication was not helping. She told me it would be called in as soon as she hung up with me 24 hours later and it still hasnt been called in.
